I was listening to a Johnny Cash song, I forget which one and he was talking about killing his wife for some weird reason, and i just decided to maybe elaborate as to what he might have been thinking lol

Just got my guitar back from the shop, had a pickup fitted to it, been without it for a week and seem to have forgotten alot of stuff lol

I tell you what though, ive not even went near an amp with it yet but for some reason it sounds alot softer and better pitched then it did before, back to the drawing board for me!!!  <img src="images/smiley_icons/icon_lol.gif" border=0 alt="Laughing">

Evanesence - wake me up

Kansas - dust in the wind

Simple Plan and Good Charlotte - almost anything from them

If you just look up your favorite bands you'll find songs you like and know, so you can play them. I had trouble with B and Bm for a long time, to switch and make it sound smooth. It still needs work but I'm able to play it now because I practiced a lot.

So, that's the best advice I can give. Practice new chords once you have the others down.

Dont give up with those fingers! You'll soon have little trouble with them!

Some good advice there mate, and i'll take heed of it.

My friend is a great player and has been showing me some stuff, he thinks im coming along great since ive only been playing for over a week, actually got my guitar for xmas, but decided to take it early lol

Thanks again everyone for your help, being honest this site has been the one thats helped me the most, and is now the only guitar site i visit!

it depends on what music you like.  some easy songs that i like include

bob marley- redemption song- G Em C Am

pink floyd- mother- G C D C

train- drops of jupiter- A E G D

theres lots of other stuff i cant remember.  if you look at the public songbooks under super begginer or super easy somethin like that you can find tons of stuff
