Love the sound of your 12er, very mellow. Now for the bad news....I think your chord structure will make a great (last?)love song, but what you played is in 4:4 time, 6:4 is a waltz time with twice as many beats to each bar. Do you have any stomp boxes with a metronome? Or download from the net. Look forward to hearing the finished recording.

Well as I said I was tryiong to play  6/8 lol,  so 4/4 it is. I was trying to emphasize the 1 and 4. (the top of the page says 6/8 or 4/4 lol so I get a slight dispensation I would think big_smile  )
OH well,  it works.
I did create a drum track in 6/8 on EZ drummer so maybe then Ill get it correct. I have to re record it in the DAW and we will see how I do.  Otherwise I switch the drum track to 4/4 LOL.

A#5 / B5  I: x2     (run before  vocals start)

A line in the sand watch where you stand

E5 / F#5 I: x2

The division is right in front of you

F#5 \ E5  I: x2

E5

C#5 Pm

B5

A#

F5

Whatever happened to standing in the middle?
Whatever happened to let’s do what’s right?
Can’t we meet at the table
and stop the fight?

So far to the left
so far to the right
That’s where they want us
Just so we fight

A line in the sand watch where you stand
The division is right in front of you
Pick a side! No one can hide
No one can see what’s true.

Violence breeds violence
is proven history
Yet we cannot stand in silence
Can’t we see? Can’t we see?

Yet we can not stand in silence

Can’t we see? Can’t we see?

I have found a lady I wish to write my last love song for but I guess please no more love songs would apply..

My son says I’m playing it like all my other stuff.  I tried hard to go 6/8. But whatever, it will be what it is.  I’ll let my drummer figure it out! Lol

Shot out of a cannon,
Spinning head first,
Will we rise?

We are stopped in our tracks
Vanquish the past,
Never look back.

Here I stand with my heart in my hand.
Tell me this one’s not fake.
Will it break or expand?
Let’s step into the unplanned.

Yes this is new, yes this is fresh,
Let’s not let fear tangle the net.
To you I say be of strong faith,
Feed the future, and we will find our place

I just want to   write my last …
I just want to   write my last …
I just want to   write my last …    D       G

Yes this is new, yes this is fresh,
Let’s not let fear tangle the net.
To you I say be of strong faith,
Feed the future, and we will find our place

My days get brighter
The more that I know,
Look at me, into my eyes,
Let me see how they glow

What   a  great  song  Scott. Tells  it  like  the  way   it  is  for  a  lot  of  folks. And  not  just  for   Christians   it  applies  to  other   religiouns    just  as  much   although  some  are  more  open about   it  than others. But  it all  comes  down to  the  same  thing .
I dont  find  this offensive its  an observation  of  the  way  some  are .

Exactly, yet the uber religious and book thumpers cant get past the hook.  Nor that fact that its 100% accurate.  You should see the loooks I get when I pull up beside some cars or trucks (usually with a bunch of Jesus stickers and stuff LOL) { As As Diamond Head wrote and Metalica covered: AM I EVIL, (YES IAM)  LOLOLOL}

I have discovered that this must truly be THE most feared song out there because no one will post it with the chords and lyrics together.  THIS MUST BE THE MOST UNHOLY, ABOMINABLE AND IRE RAISING song ever. CONGRATULATIONS from me to THE CIRCLE JERKS and the song from 1985s album WONDERFUL.
What is this vile song?  Ill tell you it’s the greatest in your face social commentary I have heard and it still rings true today!
Wait, I still need to tell you.  It is………
KILLING FOR JESUS!

All across the world
The holy armies on a tear
Ripping through the planet's faiths
Population's running scared
Christianity's all around
Zealots they abound
I wanna blow them to pieces 'cause I'm...

Killing for Jesus (X4)

With God on my side
The holy armies gonna ride
Go on a rampage
To rape, plunder and pillage
Insanity's everywhere
Must be something in the air
I wanna blow them to pieces 'cause I'm...

Killing for Jesus (X4)

no im never bored
when im a-killin for the lord.
now ive seen the light-
hell mary, ive got jesus on my side!!

insanitys everywhere
must me be something in the air
i wanna blow them to pieces cause
ohhh, immm

killin for jesus (X7)

now i dont care what that sucker said
ill pull out my crusifix and ram it right into his forehead!
cause im
killin for jesuss
one more, for christ, our lord!YEAHHH!!!!!

BABY STEPS
4/21/2020  Scott “Beamer” Sailer

BABY STEPS,
TAKE LITTLE FEAT.
BIG STEPS,
MAKE THE LEAP.

PLAYING IN THE CAUTION ZONE,
HOLDING BACK,
THAT’S HOW WE SET THE TONE,
CAN’T RUSH IT JACK.

BABY STEPS
TAKE LITTLE FEAT
BIG STEPS
MAKE THE LEAP

JUMPING WITHOUT LOOKING,
SOMETIMES WE FALL.
PUT A HAND OUT -
YOUR FRIENDS WILL CALL.

THE STEPS WE TAKE
ARE NOT ALWAYS GREAT.
NO MATTER HOW FAR WE TRAVEL,
THERE IS AWAYS A CHANCE TO FALL IN THE GRAVEL.

SCRAPE THAT KNEE
STAND UP AND YOU WILL SEE.
MY HAND IS OUT,
TAKE THAT NEW STEP WITH ME.

TRUTH
4-21-2020 Scott “Beamer” Sailer

TRUTH IS A TWO EDGE SWORD!

THEY DON’T WANT TO KNOW
THAT YOU CAN CHANGE,
IT’S EASIER TO HOLD IN THE PAIN
THAN TO REARRANGE

TELL THE TRUTH ABOUT YOUR PAST,
THE NEW AUDIENCE JUST WON’T LAST
OMISIOINS REMAIN A LIE,
SPEAK THE TRUTH AND STILL, YOU DIE!

TRUTH IS A TWO EDGE SWORD!
TRUTH IS A TWO EDGE SWORD!
TRUTH IS A TWO EDGE SWORD!
TRUTH IS A TWO EDGE SWORD!

YOU FAUGHT TO HEAL YOURSELF,
TAKING TIME TO SEE IT THROUGH,
ALL WANT IT
BUT THEY DON’T THEY WANT YOU?

EVERYONE SAYS THEY WANT IT HEARD
TALKING ABOUT IT DOES YOU NO GOOD,
PEOPLE CAN’T HANDEL WHAT THEY SHOULD
DID YOU REALLY THINK THEY EVER COULD?

TRUTH IS A TWO EDGE SWORD!
TRUTH IS A TWO EDGE SWORD!
TRUTH IS A TWO EDGE SWORD!
TRUTH IS A TWO EDGE SWORD!

LIFE SEEMS SUCH A BAD GAME
NO ONE BELIEVES YOU CAN CHANGE
THEY ALL THINK YOU WILL STAY THE SAME
TELL THE TRUTH AND YOU GET BLAMED

TRUTH IS A TWO EDGE SWORD!
TRUTH IS A TWO EDGE SWORD!
TRUTH IS A TWO EDGE SWORD!
TRUTH IS A TWO EDGE SWORD!
TRUTH IS A TWO EDGE SWORD!
TRUTH IS A TWO EDGE SWORD!
TRUTH IS A TWO EDGE SWORD!
TRUTH IS A TWO EDGE SWORD!

It pays to noodle around with your guitar whilst watching TV bored.
I just fell into this little riff.  An hour later or so, here we go.
Forgive the fumbles (not many).  Words hopefully will come to me soon.
