I have now fixed this so it should be possible to copy to openoffice as well. The table-format is really a feature not a bug..:-)

If you look at the source (View-source), and search for "printsong", you will find that the chopro-format is available here (chords in brackets).

I might make it possible to copy this to the clipboard, but I am a bit reluctant to add another button that is hard to understand for 99% of the chordie users. Any idea about how to implement this?

The user handbook is still being prepared. I just have too much to do. If anybody will start it, I will complete it and publish it...:-)

I will email you about this.

It is possible. However, I am not sure what is the correct way to implement it. In general I should make changes consistent with the chopro-format. The closest thing here is {comment: xxx}. Currently this is just printed as ordinary text. I have been thinking about formatting it a bit smaller and in italic.

It is however shown all the time (printing and screen). Is that sufficient.

I could of course add an interface for easily adding notes to songs. I could also make it possible to hide comments when printing.

Please repeat this on the same songbook, and tell me if you still are having problems.

The songs are removed from this folder after a few minutes. And probably something went wrong there. Ive had a few complaints about this, but have not been able to reproduce this error myself.

If you are able to reproduce it, tell me what songbook you are having this problem on, and I will fix it.

Dear adamas54,
Ive been partly offline a few days and didnt see this message until now. I am sorry you didnt like the T-shirts - lets find a way to fix it.

First a few words about the T-shirts. They are not printed/approved directly by Chordie. There are a few companies that do single prints on the Internet. What I do is just upload a design, and click on what goods I would like to make available. These companies then print the T-shirts/mugs when they get an order, and handle all customer support, payment, shipment etc. Chordie get about $1-$2 for every T-shirt that is sold. Since the volume is low, this has been the easiest way of handling this.

Originally I had one US shop (cafepress) but this was extremely expensive for European customers. So about a month ago I opened a shop at Comboutique for European customers. Ive seen the T-shirts from Cafepress and they have OK quality. I have seen a white print from Comboutique and that was OK. I have not yet seen their black shirts.

I see you state the price in $, and it seems like you have bought your T-shirts in Europe. If you are located in the US, this will be a very expensive way of doing it.

This does however not an excuse for the bad quality of the print. Please let me know more about it. Is it black or white T-shirts? What image? Could you take a photo of the T-shirt and send it to admin@chordie.com?

In general printing on black T-shirts is a lot more complicated than printing on white T-shirts. This is especially true for single prints like this. Unlike for white t-shirts where just color can be applied, printing on black will mean that "a covering layer" has to be applied to the T-shirt. However the prints on comboutique has been given good reviews on this, so I am surprised. And they claim to have a very good return policy.

I just noticed you are using an aol-account. Aol did for a long time block all mail from my domain. It was impossible to open it up without having an office in the US. I think that problem is solved now, but they do have a strange policy toward foreign domains. I would not be too surprised if the customer service at comboutique are not able to answer you at that address.

If it turns out that any of this is my mistake (like the high resolution images in the designs prints badly on black T-shirts), I would of course refund you personally. Before doing this, I will help you to get in touch with comboutique customer service.

I would also very much like to hear from other having bought T-shirts. Where did you buy it, what color, how was the print quality, how does it look after 5 washes?

Anybody else having problems adding songs to their songbook?

I have noticed the layout sometimes is a bit strange here. However, this is mainly a Word-problem, as this is formatted as standard tables.

Any Word experts here?

Anyone have any idea about how to autoformat these tables in Word? Did you like the old format better? Here no attempt at formatting is made. Chords are presented like this: [C7] inside the text. If so, I could maybe make this optional.

There have been some delays in updating lately. I have a couple of things I need to fix before adding songs. Soon...soon...:)

Thanks for the feedback rrcole. You can edit the songs by clicking "correct" at the bottom. This way other benefit from your changes/corrections.

I will add a feature that let you "vote" for songs to be removed. I have however not decided how to implement this yet.

I am looking for examples of songs that claim to be "formatted chord"-songs when you are browsing. However when you click them, they turn out to be text-only. I need more examples of this to be able to nail down this bug.

Hi Per,

Any chance you are able to make the original songs in the Songwriters section easily printable so they come out 'all nice and purdy'. Thank you.

Roger

This should be fixed now. There is an icon in the upper right corner that should lead to the print page.

Please test this, and take special note of this:
* international characters, apostrophes and stuff. Does it work good enough?
* Multiple songs on one page. Does it work?

I just tested this. It works.

However not that there are two ways of editing the song. You can press "correct" while browsing for songs. Here you make changes to the songs indexed by Chordie. Saving this will NOT update the song in your songbook.

Use this if you find obvious errors that you want to share. Re-add the song to your songbook for the changes to take effect.

Else you can edit in your songbook.

The button for adding songs to your songbook is on the right hand side... Maybe I should move it up??

Most likely your songbook is full (max 100 songs).

Try creating a new songbook.

Roger: I have added this to the todo-list. Next week probably.

James: I was afraid that one of my changes could affect {soc}/{eoc}, but where not able to test it. I cant find any soc-tags in the url you sent me. Do you have another example?

Just reply to this thread or send an email to admin@chordie.com..:)

It is plain text only. At the moment this is the only thing the ipods support at the moment. I am hoping this will be better for the next generation.

It does however order your songbook, and it does create a menu-system. It should also create some chord-grid-images (newest ipod versions only).

Unfortunately it is not very fancy looking. The idea is more that you can download all your songs, and have them available when you are offline and just cant remember how to play it.

I have gotten some "page not found" error messages. If anyone are able to reproduce this, please tell me. I will fix it.
