I put url's on both ends after hitting quote on the above picture with the dog to check the coding, but as  y'all can see it doesn't work for me.

Anyway, when you click the link below you'll see my Maine Coon, "Bert" sitting inside my guitar case.

I dread the day a black person from New England asks me what breed cat I have.

Thanks!

Bill

You know those rubber thingies folks put on their finger to make it easier to turn pages? Maybe y'all can get some of those to cover your nails when you need to, uh, you know...... use them elsewhere? Need a devil smiley here. heh-heh.

Dang! I was all ready to start one of those Kickstart fund-raiser things for us all to produce one, and now I see one already exists for a 12-String! sad

I still have one idea I think will make us all millions, if we as a group just invest a few bucks: Skin tone running shorts smile smile : )

Have a great day, my friends!

Amy, I rarely ever use the normal phone for anything and no one except bill collectors ever calls me on it. I would use SKYPE to call my relatives and friends in Germany who have it, but what y'all are saying about calling each other and playing guitar intrigues me a lot and it sure would help the "lonelies" if I could have that kind of contact with my friends.

I'll give it a shot at installing it again tomorrow (Sunday) and see what I can come up with. I have a very good head set with a mic already and maybe you and the guys can fill me in on what else I need to get the best quality sound out of it.

This (written) chat is great, but if I could hear your voices it would be just totally awesome, as the kids say!. smile

Thanks for letting me know about all that. I think when I had the service before, I never shut it down completely and I suspect I could never play games with it running, could I?

================================================

Wishing y'all a great rest of the weekend! Especially my buddy Graham, whose posts and music I miss a lot. It's funny how one can miss someone whom he's never met. It just goes to show that friendliness comes through on the keyboard when you leave yourself open to it.

Get well soon, Grah1 and Pam thanks for giving him the TLC he needs in mega-doses. smile

Loves me my CHORDIES!!!

Well, I've been on SKYPE before, but the app really ran down my RAM, so I had to delete it.

As soon as I can, I'm going to buy 4 more gigs of RAM and then try again.

Thanks

Yes, Roger and thanks for doing that. I am sorry for the extra trouble and I have tried several times on my own, but I must be leaving out a step or something.

But the important thing is that our good friend Graham is back home with his bride and that trumps everything!

Thanks!

Great news! Can someone post a Snoopy "Happy Dance" pic? I don't seem to have much luck with that.

Best Wishes, Grah and Pam

smile. I don't blame you, KIR, I just posted it in case it happened to one of you singers, because I can imagine it making y'all miserable while trying to perform.

If the method shown in the vid didn't work, the next suggested step is the Heimlich Maneuver. After that, it would be a trip to the ER for a laryngotomy.

Just something to "file away in your memory bank", my friend and I hope you never have to use any of those.

Have a good one, KIR

Hey Ladies and Gentlemen

Do you know the above term? Since many of us sing and play, I wanted to pass this along in the hopes that it will help.

Ever had a small piece of food stuck in the back of your throat and try as you may, that thing just sits there and you can't get it coughed out or  get it to move down your esophagus?

That's what it's called and I had it all day Tuesday.

I finally got so miserable and so tired of bothering Dondra with the *hack, hack - snort, snort*, I decided to google it and found this:

Before you watch it, let's do a disclaimer and like the guy in the video let you know I am not a doctor and I don't assume any liabililty if it doesn't work for you, okay?

I also recommend that after the guy in the light polo finishes, you let it run and let Charles show you his. It worked for me and I feel so much better, so may it work for you and help you as well.

Here's the link and see y'all later: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bNDPbODWBwg

When I showed a picture of this beautiful guitar to my late Dad and expressed a wish for one, I will never forget what he said to me: "You getcha one, you better damn sure know how to play it, boy!" wink

I know he'd never say that to you or any of you, JJJ! Congratulations and may you "Be happy for the rest of your life........" https://youtu.be/FKzacHbsBJM wink

Everyone (and especially Grah!), I am so sorry to just become aware of this! I have been offline for the major part of the last week, so I'm a bit out of touch (and now very concerned, of course!) that our friend and his wife have gone through such a trying time, but very happy that the news I saw on the update thread is good!

I have such great, talented and caring friends here that I feel a closeness with all of you that I don't find on any social media, so of course Dondra and I join with the rest of you in extending our sincerest get well wishes to both members of our family, (for that is how I have come to know everyone of us here) and hope that every day is stronger for Grah than the previous one

Prayers and good thoughts for both goes without saying and we will be monitoring the thread in "great expectations" of the very best news every day.

Thanks, Kev for keeping us updated!

Sincerest best wishes,

Bill and Dondra Craig

Dayum! After reading all the verses and the choruses, I have to admit I'm out-classed.

No wonder I have such a tough time writing songs! I can't keep my mind on what I'm trying to convey!

Guess I'll just have to be satisfied with the fact I'm allowed to hang with y'all here! smile

One thing: If you guys and ladies can polish the "Mini-Cooper" angle, I can see no reason why you shouldn't submit it to their ad agency.

In awe,

Your Friend

Either way you word it, it's for someone else to decide and here's a guy to illustrate my point:

(If someone could fix this for me so it'll show, I'd sure appreciate it. I've been working on it for about an hour now and I'm exhausted.)

Thanks and have a great weekend, everyone.

Hey, Fellow Chordians

I really like that name....

I will leave it to someone else to put music to it, as this isn't my range of expertise. Actually nothing is really, when it comes to the guitar. I just enjoy the learning process and the interaction with my friends here. smile

I've got my thinking (dunce) cap on so maybe I can come up with something. Much better than my idea, TIG/ smile

Probably not a good idea for a game, guys, (not allowing use of google), is it? Some of these are difficult even for me and I used to deejay back in the 70's and 80's.

Sorry! smile

Okay, my bad. I was unclear with the instructions (a hazard dealing with a batsh*t old drummer) so we'll use the first one as an example:

"Ask any fool that she ever knew......."

======================================

And the answer is: "He'll say keep away from 'Run Around Sue' "  (Dion and The Belmonts")

Now whoever guessed that lyric correctly would get to stump the rest of us with a lyric of his own and so on/so forth.

Dino, you just stumped me with "lend me some money", so who knows what follows that lyric?

Floyd, is that you???

And that is meant as a compliment! I can hear and read a lot of PF in those lyrics, KAP54 and sure would like to hear the finished product one day.

Thanks!
