Wow, Big Momma Thorton can belt out the blues eh. I have an old video of her with a young Buddy Guy on guitar, amazing blues. I searched for some of her songs with no results. Good luck in your search.

I have a two year old fender acoustic. At first it was very hard to play, but after a
set up it sounds and plays great. But yes I can feel differences when playing other model of guitars.

Years ago I had a cassette tape of Jerry Reed. I remember songs like "Bandit", "When Your Hot Your Hot", "Ledgend",

"Mule Skinner Blues", "Amos Moses",  "Trying On Stuff", and "East Bound and Down", The Guitar Man will be Missed.

Thanks, Guitarpix. I've abandoned Barre Chords on my fender acoustic cause they were just too hard, but this
Hondo they play very easy and gives me hope of playing barres with no effort. Hey it raining here, a good practice day.

Just got a gift from my sister, a 1977 Hondo acoustic, a remake of a Gibsom Hummingbird. New strings and a set up and it sounds sweet. Nice even mellow tone. Can't put it down.

One of my favorite guitar gods is Freddie King from the fifties and sixties. You can really see where Stevie Ray Vaughn got his guitar licks. There are videos of him on u-tube. Last month I got to see number 64 on the top 100 list, Hubert Sumlin, play with the James Cotton Band at the Dutch Mason Blues Fest. Truly amazing talent.
Cotton played Harp with Muddy Waters for some 30 years and is as big as life itself.
Sumlin played with such ease and made it look easy with his timing and spot on solos. Of course I was right up front to see first hand some amazing blues.
