Kinda philosophical in a way, Phill. A statement on the times, as it were. smile

I think Peter got it right away as well, by his comment! wink

I've never tried a pickled egg in a bar, but I imagine the farts would be quite toxic, wouldn't they? smile

Now, pickled pigs feet I have eaten. When I lived with my Grandmother in what used to be Communist-Occupied East Germany, whenever we had pork, we were taught to eat everything but the oink. True story --- even sucked the marrow from the bones. Sorry if anyone's eating while reading this. wink

I think we got us some comics onboard, "Chordites".

I'm seeing them as The Chordies' opening act by playing comedy songs and then joining the rest of us for the concert! smile

Yeah, I know: "Keep dreamin' Bill!"

You are correct Sir! smile

I used to do simple magic for my pediatric patients and would always break my number one magician's rule to never reveal a trick when I'd tell a parent how to do them. In all fairness to me though, they all professed an interest, so what was I gonna do, Phill?

And yeah, I dream about ("Oh, NO! NOT another 'dream' thread?!!", I hear y'all saying. smile ) some old radio gags I used to do, back in the day. And I'd either have to explain or apologize to the audience for them.

Here's a VERY short one:

On-Air DJ to Talk Show Host Bill just before my air time:  "What's that you're doing, Bill?"

Bill, chewing on a sandwich: "I'm masticating, Bob"!

Of course y'all know what that sounded like on the radio, right?

That was one I both had to explain and apologize for. wink

Really pushed the ol' envelope in those days, I did.

Love the Leafs, love my Canada Dry, and I'd love to get my meds from y'all, if I could ever remember to check the prices.

I know folks make fun about the "oots" and "aboots", but y'all were there for us in wartime (beginning in 1812) and that about says it all as far as friendship and allies are concerned. I know the US wars haven't always been seen favorably in Canada, but that hasn't hurt our relations IMO.

Thanks for your service and friendship, Canadians and Happy Canada Day!

Anyone catch my little "joke" in the OP subject line?

I was trying to "bold" 'Tails' name (didn't work).

And then wrote, "If I may be so bold!"

Anyway, whenever you're ready, Mr. 'Tails. smile

I'd love to be able to kayak, y'all, but here in Georgia we have the Chattahoochee River, which, if it doesn't contain whatever that flesh-eating bacteria is called (A University of West Georgia co-ed had 3 - I think - limbs amputated) it has e-coli. I'd be afraid to put anything floatable in it. Not because the bacteria would eat through it, of course, but I wouldn't want to be in contact with the water.

Just my opinion and be safe out there, Norm, Zurf and everyone!

Agreed though, best to get it done early. smile

Being that I have Alzheimer's Dementia, I did watch the special and was very touched to learn how advanced it was for him when he couldn't remember the 4 words/things the guy asked him to repeat. I agree with the "music extended his awareness" comment, TIG and feel that way about musicians in general.

I cite as one example, the Maestro - Ludwig Van Beethoven - who battled not only with deafness but (in my opinion) dementia as well. That he was able to compose such excellent music despite those two debilitating diseases speaks volumes for us musicians.

As for me, I'm between stages 4 and 5 (there are currently 7) and can manage simple things. A not so simple thing is driving - I almost killed myself and two other people because of this. Needless to say, I no longer drive.

This isn't about me, it's about Glen and it was a very touching and informative program. Being that it was on CNN, it will be repeated many times, I am sure. Just go to ON DEMAND, choose CNN and SPECIALS.

Thank you, TIG.
