Next - This is freaking Brilliant !!!
Clever beyond  words... I absolutely love it.  If I could sing or play worth a crap I 'd do it in a second.

Thanks for sharing this cool stuff!!
Enjoy the rest of the weekend smile

PS - Why don't you do a cover of it, it's your song - I'd like to hear it as it comes out of your head and mouth.

TF  = great pun !
Thanks for checking it out - I think Russell has a quote somewhere on his  comments - getting old ain't for sissies  - he is right - it requires  a lot of resiliency smile

Phill, Beamer and anyone else

I am LOL bc you guys actually think I am a musician and understand 3/4  or whatever it is that  distortion means. smile
I am just a pretty bad self taught strummer that can't keep time very well ( mostly because my right hand wants to play every syllable!)
When I write  i just plugs words to chords and hope it sounds close to something musical
I am always indebted to the real musicians here on chordie to fix the music part for me.

my wife sleeps on other side of the house and I play soft.

Glad you are gonna give it a go, and as per my usual rule - I don't care if you change it - in fact I encourage it if it makes it sound good - have fun!
I have Never been disappointed by anyone on chordie that has covered one of my songs- they all have sounded great to me.
Thanks for the kind words - looking forward to some versions.

This morning my dog woke me at 4:45 and I had nothing better to do than grab my guitar and go through some of my songs. I looked at my song Seven times - and said to my self - that's such a good line to be wasted on the friviolity of the song I wrote - although it was kinda amusing.
So I wrote a new more appropriate song for that line - " I fell down seven times, got up eight" . it may need another verse - I don't know - maybe you guys can give some advice on that smile
Hope you like it better than the first, I do.

here it is

I think you taught it what it needed to learn.

Zurf - incredible - that was awesome ( even the la de das! ) !   You have a great voice man - I am so jealous.  One of my favorite songs - you did it proud!

soooo....  I was browsing and found this awesome page

Got thinking about all of those on the page...and just starting writing down some ideas.... which then led to this.

I was always wondering where the term " Progressive Rock"  comes from ?  Is there a particular progression through the songs or something?

While I am not the biggest fan of it - I do appreciate the terrific abilities of the performers you present each week.
Thanks for taking the time to do so.
While in college I liked the group Uriah Heep that you showcased a couple of post ago.

My daughter's boyfriend plays in a duo - it's called Ridgeline.   They play pretty much every weekend.
I have no idea how they remember all the words and all the chords - no lyric sheets or electronic screens - just good ol' memory. I am always amazed each time I hear them
(they have a few  songs on you tube.)

I know many of you Chordians gig a lot..... you have my total admiration -    I am amazed at real musicians like yourselves.
Hopefully one day I will make a Chordie get together and get to play with some of you.( certainly not the vocals  smile  )

anyway - Kudos to all of you performers out there
it is something special to be able to do so !

UJB  and Jan
Thanks for your kind words.

Yes I took mine down because I am at the soundcloud limit.  I couldn't load Phill's version without taking something down- it was an obvious choice to eliminate mine.
(Trust me, it saved your ears some anguish smile

I love having the people on Chordie cover my songs because there is so much talent here - UJB - I d'  love to have you cover one - you are an excellent musician as well.
Phill is uniquely talented. I never even have to tell him how I think it goes - he and I are somehow almost always on the same page.
Although I have never personally met him, (although we do connect through e-mail )  it's like he and I are old buddies from way back. smile
Thanks again,
Jim
