Nothing for me. I have the "You are currently subscribed......" message below Index, but haven't received anything in my e-mail, and this was a first message. What else can I check?
Thanks

Howdy, markeden
I can attest to the friendliness of Chordie folk first-hand; There's a reason we're known as the "friendliest website on the net", and you only have to choose one post at random and read it to see what that phrase means.
Once you get a "feel" for the forum(s), you'll note our "family" atmosphere and that we advocate the "jump right in" approach. Therefore I believe the philosophy is not to consider anyone "new".
We learn from each other, we help each other and we care about each other, so welcome to the friendliest place on the net, markeden.

Dear Chordie Family
I'm just finished reviewing all the "Songs For Dondra" posts to see if I've forgotten to thank anyone. I don't want to leave anyone out, but because of my CRS, I'm afraid I may have.
If this is the case and you're still speaking to me...... ........ please tell me, okay? We're not normally "worry-warts", but your responses to her while she was laid up in the hospital, were very nice and caring and if that happened we want to make sure to correct it.
One thing: If I didn't post a "thank you" here, you may have one on YouTube, Soundcloud or Dropbox.
If all is well, then we thank you once again.
"OCD" Bill and She Who Must Be Obeyed.
Dear Mods/Admins
I'm not getting notified of subscribed threads. Could someone check it for me, please?
Thanks
Bill
I call it "CRS".
"Can't Remember S**t."
jjj, I think he's messin' with ya.
He sells snake oil, too, I hear.
Sorry to learn of this, my friend. Of course you'll be in both our thoughts and prayers and all best wishes to your son. Please let us know how things are going.

ATTN: THREAD HIJACK BELOW
Yeah, and I'm gonna be a lot busier. This house is going on the market and I'll be busy with that for a while at least. We want to find us something smaller, since neither of us are in the best of health and aren't big fans of the taxes/maintenance/upkeep, etc., etc.
Mine and D's medical bills have skyrocketed and it would have only been a matter of time anyway before our banker would be calling.
We hope to find a smaller 3 bedroom 1 1/2 bath apartment somewhere close. It means my music room will be a lot smaller, but I can at least set up my drums and play guitar in the living room.
So if I'm not around as much, it'll be because we're getting the house ready.
As for the tab, unh-UNH, not me. I don't think I could slow the guy down enough.
Bill
Can someone identify the guitar Guillame is playing on "Showcase"? Awesome guitarist. Sorry for your loss, souletlucas, but welcome to Chordie! I wanna know who's gonna do the tab!
Bill
jjj,
Naw, you ain't crazy and you ain't no hoarder, but you did buy a guitar with no strings, so maybe we need to put you in my "territory".
Just kidding, my friend. She's purty, fer sure. I wish you many enjoyable hours with your new acquisition.
Bill
Because TIG did, and found it beautiful, I went to "Tree....." first, and I agree, Arkady it is peaceful and beautiful. Now I'm going to listen to the rest of what you played.
Now, before I fall all over my feet again like I did with Doug , I'll just ask straight out: Do you have any CD's on Amazon or elsewhere?
Thanks
Bill
"Going Home" --- Otherwise known as Dvorak's 9th (New World Symphony)
Back in the Maestro Beethoven's day, it was considered a compliment to the original composter to steal a little of his work and work it into your own.
Bill
Well, she started it!!!!!
Yeah, she was sitting there listening and when you went into "Bobby McGhee" you must've tugged on those heartstrings a little too hard, Ms. Amy, cause as you were getting into the la-la-la-lala's I felt a little wet cheek while hugging her from behind.
We've always been that way, though. What affects one of us, affects the other. She gets emotional, I get emotional. She starts a sentence, I finish it. A combined 23 years (we were friends even during the divorce years) will do that to ya, I reckon.
But this has been a first for the both of us: People whom we have never even met putting themselves aside, writing/singing us their music, helping us through with their words of encouragement. We know to appreciate that, Amy and Friends. We really do.
Thank you so much and we send our love to every one of you!

The Earl of Malmsteen really likes that phrygian mode and is really fast, but somehow lacking in the musicality of many newer artists out there.
Bill as a percussionist, I should have included something by Antione Dufur. Another of our talented neighbors to the North: www.youtube.com/watch?v=YQlyHbu0zz4
The percussive fingerstyle is popular these days it seems, and traces it's roots to the Gipsy/Flamenco genre. But as you can see.... can be somewhat overdone and repetative (no offense to Antoine, but this example does drag a bit towards the end).
Enjoy;
Doug
Thank you, Doug
I read some of the comments during this very intricate (to me anyway) tune, and one person's comment was: "They say he's still playing that outro to this very day." I got a little chuckle out of that one.
I then scrolled down to "Paroxysm", just because of the thumbnail of that guitar/harp combination. Very avante garde, I must say, but again I'm not as versed as I should be about free-style, fingerstyle, innovative guitar, so I'll just say I liked what I heard.
But what's with that scarf on the one you linked me to? I saw no beads of sweat on that baby-face brow.
Thanks
Bill
Thanks, easybeat, for the kind words. Not amazing at all. I can ride a bicycle and I can talk the ears off a jackrabbit. That's all there is.
Good luck with the instrumental, my friend and don't forget to link me/us to it when you get done, Mr. "Rough as gut...".
Thanks
Bill
At a low stage of my life, you all have touched my heart with music that you've created for Bill and I. I shed tears, I smiled, and I thank God for people like you who care enough to reach out to a stranger to try to lift up our spirits. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers always. And thank you for being such good friends to the man who takes care of me every day, no matter what comes our way.
Dondra
Look for some early John Denver with him playing and singing as part of The Chad Mitchell Trio (a la The Kingston Trio).
You'll hear that distinctive voice right away.
Bill
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!! !!!!
Sometimes I get a little "TMI". That's the way I am when among friends, I guess.
Y'all are killing us here!
D and I have had zero vacation since our remarriage and after seeing those beautiful pictures, you have both of us panting to get to your little shindig, my friends.
The BIG disappointment came when I saw where I thought UJB was posting from: South Carolina. However, the "SC" stands for "South Central" Pennsylvania.
Oh well. Y'all will just have to manage without us, ah reckon.
Bill and SWMBO
Since you brought it up, Bud o' Mine, I have a Viagara joke for you and the rest of our friends.
Okay. Woman walks into a drugstore......
Woman: "Do you have Viagara?"
Pharmacist: "Yes, Ma'am, we do."
Woman: "Can you get it over the counter?"
Pharmacist: "I can if I take two"
========================================
For our "over the pond" friends: Getting a drug "over the counter" simply means it can be bought without a prescription.
OCD Bill
I LOVE it, TF. Thanks for posting.
Dave Chapelle is what social satire is all about!

Audacity is too complicated for me. If I get just a cassette deck, can I make an MP3 by just connecting it to the RCA receptors on the back of my computer?
Thanks
