Hey pix I think you might have some sorta pick portal in your house, and somehow they travel through the pick portal and end up at my house. I never have a problem finding picks. Even if I don't need one at the moment I'll find one. Actually I have two stepdaughters 22, and 16, both with guitar playing boyfriends. Sometimes they jam out here and leave their picks here. Which is great for me, since now I have a little ziploc bag with a variety of picks and don't need to spend money on picks. I now have picks varying from aliens to pot leafs to the dark prince of hell, even glow in the dark picks.

One evening a mexican farmer is walking home through the woods from a long day of tending to his fields. Out of nowhere a man on horseback stops him at gun point and asks him "what are you doing in these woods." The farmer just looks at him and finally says "you are pancho villa." The man says, "yes, and now that you know my name I have to keep you quiet." You see that big pile of horse sh*t, take a bite. So the farmer scared takes a big mouthful. Just then a snake passes by and startles the horse, sending pancho villa into the air and knocking his gun away. The farmer picks up the gun and tells pancho villa," you see that pile of shi*t take a bite." And pancho villa takes a mouthful. The farmer runs as fast as he can and heads straight to the cantina, and orders a beer. He starts drinking it and as he starts to look up he sees a picture of pancho villa on the wall and he just stares at it for the longest time. The bartender says do you know pancho villa. The farmer says " YES, WE HAD LUNCH TOGETHER."
HA HA HA HA HA HA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The tip of texas is known as the Rio Grande Valley. I live about 10 Minutes from the Mexican border(which means great tequila at the cheapest prices) You my friend are going to be my 815 mile neighbor, about 8 hours and 47 minutes away. One thing though you still get the cold weather up there that hardley ever makes it down here. It's pretty much always a nice 85 degrees with an enjoyable breeze, Perfect for laying in a hammock with a margarita and strumming some tunes. Welcome to Texas. Thank y'all for the Birthday wishes!!
Hey riverdales,
Happy Birthday!! Where's the tip of Texas? I'm getting ready to move down there from Independence, Mo. Moving to Plano, Tx. on the 12th or 13th of April.

Topic: Editing troubles in songbook!!! (0 replies, posted in About Chordie)
I added a song to my songbook, then I pushed the edit button and added all the chords that were missing from the text. Everything was working fine until I saved and went back to my songbook. It still looked like this (I seen the sun comin' up at the funeral at dawn
Em Am
The long broken arm of human law
F
Now it always seemed such a waste
C
She always had a pretty face). The text still looks like a typewriter text and not the normal chordie type of text or font. I know there are certain codes you must put in and I tried{sot} which turns the text into typwriter text and {sot} turns it into chordie text. I typed in {sot} and it turned to chordie text like I wanted it, but this is still in the edit page. When I return to my songbook there are no changes and it's still in typwriter text. Could you give me a solution, in the edit page the song is nicely edited but there is no scroll, so I got to stop playing and move up the screen while I try to learn this song. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The song is one headlight by the walllowers.

I also love all the greats but right now I'm really into Lamb of God, wich is strange cuz I was never really into hardcore death metal, but I've been practicing "Laid to Rest" by LoG, and I gotta say playing a song note for note on an electric guitar is way different than just strumming all chords, it really blows me away and it's just so cool!!!MAN I LOVE GUITAR!!! Keep on Rockin!!!!!

I'm right smack on the tip of Texas, about 20 minutes from the mexican border. The humidity is really the only problem but it's tolerable, Except during June and July I mean right smack in the middle of summer, but just turn that air conditioning on, mix up some margaritas in the blender and login to chordie. Life is good!!!!!

I also have the same set up and the same problem! When chordie freezes up I open up another IE Page and go back to chordie, and everthing is fine. I go back to the frozen page and click on close, then a little pop up will pop up and say program not responding. Just close program, but you'll already have your other page with chordie already working. Loading time of chordie pages has still been an issue though. Very frustrating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: That damn high E snapped again!!!!!!!!! (5 replies, posted in Electric)
Well this last time I was doing some stupid hard strumms while playing I wanna be sedated by the ramones. But I normally take good care not to strumm on my electric cuz I usually try to only do solos on my electric, I do alot of bending but oddly they don't pop when I'm playing. THis usually happens when wipping down my strings or cleaning my fret board or some miscellaneous activity or once in a while while actually tuning I'll over tighten(Dohh). But Regardless how they pop I would really like to purchase single strings!!!!!!!!

Topic: That damn high E snapped again!!!!!!!!! (5 replies, posted in Electric)
The only string that always pops is my high E string!! It's annoying when I just put a new set or the set of strings is still good but I have to change them all because of one snapped string. Does anyone know if single strings are sold, so that I could buy like 20 single High E strings, cuz that's the only one that pops!!

Re: Left hand grip on my new Electric Guitar? (5 replies, posted in Chordie's Chat Corner)
Well another thing and I notice this because I switch frequently back and forth to acoustic to electric, the strings on the acoustic are much more spread out and easier to position your fingers on. On the electric the strings are much more confined so you have to strain a little more to correctly hit the right notes or chords without touching other non chord strings. I use my acoustic mainly for strumming because of this, and my electric more for soloing and lead because your just hitting mainly single notes. Strange case!!!!!!

Topic: Guitar Hero Hero !!!!!!! (21 replies, posted in Chordie's Chat Corner)
I bought the guitar hero game 14 months ago and it was the coolest thing in the world. Ever since I can remember that I started to love music, I can remember doing the air guitar, but now I had a guitar in my hand and actually strumming and pressing fake frets/chords whatever you wanna call those colored buttons. I played for a month straight then I said screw this I wanna do it for real, on a real guitar. So that weekend I bought the paper and there was a sale at best buy, $80 bucks for a maestro acoustic by Gibson. It came with a CD and a booklet. I started practicing that day, actually trying to tune it, finally learning notes then a song sorta!! I also recieved as a gift an ibanez Gio electric guitar. I haven't touched the guitar hero game in 13 months. I played the game a month then tried the real thing and the toy guitar controller is covered in dust and cobwebs and I don't clean it cuz it looks funny to me. I wonder if any new members were inspired by this game! I just gotta say I don't play the game anymore, but thanx to it I picked up a real guitar and I've never been happier than when I'm learning or playing a tune!!!!!!
