Admin,
I don't mean to insult anybody for using any certain program, I just think word is easier for me.
Also when you print songs when Their in chord pro, it doesn't print the chords. Which means you have to go to word anyway. Again, it is not my intention to insult or offend anyone, its just my
observation. If I have offended anyone, then I offer My apologies.

GuildMan6and12,
I also have a Guild. A JF4-12-NT. A 12-string obviously! The only thing I don't like about it is, it has a wide neck, which makes it somewhat awkward to play barre chords on. But I still like it. maybe we could get together to do some picking. I sometimes go hunting at Lone Jack Lake. I know some Neil Young, and Eagles. would be interested in swapping a few songs.

Hi KAP54,
If you use word instead of chord pro, then you can change anything in your post. And it's much
easier to use then chord pro. I don't know 'bout you, but I don't want anybody else messin' with
my post [no offense to admin], just the way I feel. Not to mention, if I want to tab it out, I can!
I prefer to have control over my music. I don't care if someone prints my songs and plays them,
long as they credit me for writing it.
                                                 Peace out,

Hey Guildman6and12,
Do you live in Kansas City? I live In Independence! What songs are you interested in? I have
some originals, and lots of magazines with music tab in them. mostly classic rock and country.
I'd be interested in getting together to pick also.

Hi stealstrings,
welcome to chordie! nice song, just needs extended, maybe add a chorus. totally just my opinion
though. Bob Dylan's "Maggie's Farm" does not have a chorus. Still fun to play though!

KAP54,
There are still some bands that believe that lyrics mean something! Bands like Oasis, and a few
others. I've always believed that for music to be effective, you have to be able to hear everything
in the song, including lyrics. What good is a song if you can't understand the lyrics!!! Unless it's
music only, like Joe Satriani, who by the way is an excellent musician!!

You can write it in word, Then "save as". Save under song name. Actually I don't use chord pro.
I create in word, then copy and paste to chordie. That being said, there is a program called
open office that I just downloaded for free. You can get it from openoffice.org for free. I think
its better than microsoft office, and it does work with microsoft office.

KAP54,
I think the chord you are referring to is a C7. C-shape with the pinky on the third sting of the
      third fret. Good song!

Jets,
I like, I like! Great song. Is the last part meant as a chorus to be played in between verses?
Like to hear it when you get it recorded.

James,
I was not aware you could put 100 songs in your songbook, or that you could have multiple
       song books! Very useful info.
                                          Thanks,

Zurf,

I Like the last two lines!! Finish it and keep as an alternate verse.

kbrassel,
I just write it in microsoft word, then copy and paste in songwriting. It comes out ok for
me. Then you have a copy of it on your hard drive. Hope that helps. And sorry for your
         loss!

upyerkilt,
To start out with, I like your screen name[very cool]. I did figure out how to put my music
on there, just have to get it recorded first. Hopefully soon!! You can do covers on youtube?
Thats awsome, I'm gonna have to check that out! I do think it would be even better if we
could do that on here. Thanks for the info, I'll let you know when I get some songs on.

Roger,

I understand what your saying. Working on trying to get my music recorded, but my 24

track is messed up! I did buy a cheap 4 track yesterday, so we'll see how that goes!!

Just to give you an idea of how the song goes: A continuance moderate strum all the way

through the song. You have to sing a little fast to keep up with the chord changes, but

other than that, pretty simple song, pretty simple to play. Sorry I haven't got them re-

corded yet, just so much to do, and not enough time in the day to do them!!!

                                                                                              Thanks,

James,

Thanks for the response back. I thought maybe money was the main reason, which makes

alot of sense! I do have a myspace page, but curiosity got the best of me, so I just had to

ask anyway. By the way, I've read some of your songs on here, and your a really good

writer! I really enjoy reading your lyrics. Have you recorded I've Been Looking For You?

I really like the lyrics to that song! Very well written.

                                                                        Thank you very much,

This question is for any administrator,

Why doesn't chordie have it's own media page where members could upload recordings of there

own compositions, instead of doing it on myspace? I don't if it's feasible, but wouldn't it be better

than  having to go to myspace or youtube every time you want to hear someones song? It just

seems to make more sense to me. Anyway, Thats my thoughts!!!

                                                                              Thanks,

Zurf,

I personally find it easier to come up with a chord progression, then a melody, and last but

certainly not least lyrics. thats what works for me.
