From what ive read....if you decide to purchase an audio interface....a firewire interface is the way to go.....alot of usb interfaces seem to have a latency issue...luckily i had a friend that was wanting to sell a firebox for 200.00.....retail is 300.00....so i jumped on it....it was a step forward for me...up until then i had recorded using my inputs on my soundcard....just make the best of what you have and when the opportunity to upgrade comes along ...take it...and first and foremost...just have fun working with what you have...

From what I have found it looks like a Line 6 Spider 112 ...I did a google image search and looks like the pic you have posted...if so....
here is a manual on it... http://line6.com/data/l/0a06007216ce46d … nglish.pdf

or it might be this one

Me and fatstrings had a conversation the other day about how the sound was affected when converting from wav to mp3...and our conclusion was yes there seem to be  a "flattening" of the sound when converting...in our opinion...so anything that can help preserve the full sound of the recording would be quite helpful in the final mix...

Hi Russ
I'm wondering if you would be open to bending the rules to your challenge.  smile
As it seems that lyrics are a little hard to come by for some of us maybe you could include pure instrumentals the Challenge..
Just a thought.
Ark
Also does the finish piece have to include guitars a bit cheeky I know as this is Chordie..

good idea ark...

Hey Riddler,

Drop me an e-mail and I'll send you what I got.... kind of a truck-stop-juke-box number, but I lost an air line and screetched to a halt!

And for you Russell... I knew there was a little sadist in you trying to find a way out!

Take Care;  Doug

I may take you up on that doug...im gonna be playing a while tonight and ill see what comes out...i think i can build on the A Em D A.....and keep the basic sound of the tune...but breaking away to the other chords as they are laid out might be a challenge...that might be part of my problem...me and fatstrings are going to put our heads together tonight and see what we can do with it.....
