I'm a firm believer in this philosophy. Make a mistake and bulldoze right over the top of it. This may occur tomorrow evening.

The penguins would've been pretty nervous.

I don't understand how they totally ran out of supplies.... but there's a case of whisky left. If it'd been a Scottish expedition all the whisky would've been blootered on the 1st night. big_smile

Ooooohhhhhhh..... now there's a good idea.

Though I'm thinking one bottle may not be enough. We couldny buy a bottle and not invite yon big fella, Ken, round to sample it. I'm thinking we'd need 2 at least. Ach, what the heck, let's go for 1 each.

I canny believe the spokesman said he didny want to try it in case it was off. I didny think it went off. I've never had one that lasted more than a couple of days. lol

It's no real hardship to ask the little darlings to look it up themselves, but here are a couple of links

http://www.spanglefish.com/Schiehallion/     is for their website

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=peg040vBcLQ    is for the song hawkmoon likes. I just love evenings like this in the pub.

What a fantastic stort, Zurf. I guess you never think of performers dipping into other genres. But, hey, we all do it, why shouldn't they?

I suppose depending on your nationality and cultural background there are always going to be certain songs that most folk will know and be able to sing along to. There are always the ones that cross all sorts of borders so I'd say if you know a Beatles song, a Dylan song and a local folk song you can at least get a start on the evening. Unless you're in your teens and have never heard of any of these. lol

I'm saving my celebration for Saturday night when I'll be attending my 1st ever Burns Supper.

Then let us pray that come it may,
(As come it will for a' that,)
That Sense and Worth, o'er a' the earth,
Shall bear the gree, an' a' that.
For a' that, an' a' that,
It's coming yet for a' that,
That Man to Man, the world o'er,
Shall brothers be for a' that.

Interesting to read the comments about Craig Ferguson. We don't see much of him over here in his home country but I believe he is doing alright for himself. He started out as a young Scottish comedian who went by the stage name of Bing Hitler. Very funny and very, very sweary. I was going to post a link to youtube but I'll leave that for you to discover for yourself, if you're of the mind to.

I'll need to check out the Tonight Show for the Young appearance. I've become a bit of a fan recentely. I know, I'm a late developer.

All the best,

Edit** Oops, I never read your post 1st Amy. Great minds think alike.***

It probably started after a system update by microsoft. You know the ones that happen automatically. This happened to me a while ago. I think it may be something to do with Flash Player but you may have to totally uninstall it and then re-download and install, as simply updating it doesn't work. Failing all that you can do what I did - download Firefox.

I have since upgraded to a new PC with windows 7 and the latest IE and have no problems.

Good luck, I know how annoying it is.

A friend of mine, sadly no longer with us, spent all his life using wheelchairs and sticks to get around and he found the same as you, Doc. Women got very protective. Usually not what he was looking for. lol He could get away with murder with women. Man, we had some fun. big_smile

You hear a lot of bands and artists saying - right time, right place and a lot of luck. I'm guessing a lot of belief in what you do and a good manager too.

Hi Old Doll. This angry whisky drunkeness has always baffled me. It has the exact opposite effect on me. I just want to cuddle everyone and tell them I love them. I'm hoping this means that whisky brings out the suppressed emotions therefore if your angry inside it comes out. That's my theory lol . Needless to say I did get whisky as a gift and I did get girlie and emotional. smile

Hugs.

Aye, Merry Christmas to you all. Hope it's a good one.

I'm guessing that we shouldn't do this if we aleady know what genre they belong to. I'm also guessing they'd be happy with "Rock" without the prefix. I'm also guessing that your name and avatar may give a wee clue to that prefix.

Love your enthusiasm for the genre though.
