Another great poem about an island, great job Alan.
Badeye
They call this place a paridise,
I never want to roam.
Through sunset and sunrise
I call this place my home
The place i grew up in
I never want to part
She's called Cape Breton Island
The isle of my heart.
From the great fortress at Louisburg
to the shores of Inverness
She'll take you in, treat you kind
Her people are the best
In days of old she mined the coal
Sydney made the steel
Now just good memories
no more driving wheel
When you go down to her shores
you'll see what I mean
Fish,boat, waterski
go swimming in her sea.
Of all the places in the world
She's the one for me
I never want to leave you
My island in the sea.

Cabin Fever has got me good and that's real bad. <sigh>
Is it true what my friend told me, that down East you have 5 seasons? What would be the 5th one?
Pot hole season, where car repairs are the norm.

Grade 9 we had a student which last name was Arsenaunlt. He never had his homework done. After many times the teacher lost his cool " What are we to do with you?" Someone spoke up and said "Throw him out the window, arse and all" The class broke up. The teacher didn't think that was funny and someone one went to the princple's office. We all thought it was funny at the time. Mr.Arsenault had a good laugh.

My Father in law likes to mix Genesee beer and tomato juice!
It's very good Ozy, give one a try. Years ago it was Kieths Indian pale ale mixed with MacEwans dark that had a real buzz to it. Gettin too old for that way of life.
Take care Badeye ,,,
Beer makes you smart....... It made Bud Wiser.
Mornin, Up here in Canada we have lots of snow. Today we are getting an ice storm, with hail and freezing rain, all schools are closed province wide, but we are used to it we are tough
maritimers and have adapted to the cold. But ya would like to see spring arrive and get back in the garden. great day to play guitar.

Ahh Jeff Healy, one of my favorites . I seen him perform in the 90's a couple times and was
amazed at his talent. Check him out on you-tube. He was self taught and one of the best.
Badeye
