Thanks for the kind words. I didn't play it nearly as well as Pat, nor could I ever. He's a monster. I just barely hung in there. smile

It was a high moment in my music career though.

not because I wanted to but because the jazz band was playing it. This song took me about 2 months to get down: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1xm0JYojAks

I had to stop playing for 3-4 months in college because of not only wrist tension, but also tension in the neck and shoulders from kinking 'em up too much with the guitar strapped on. Be careful!

So I bet Bears +8 for $100 and the money line for $50. Let's hope my boys squeak it out!

Since sports betting is legal here in Vegas, every once in a while I bet the Bears. I'm 2/2 this season. I bet against them during the MNF game w/the Lions and for them the week later. I'm trying to parlay my winnings for the rest of the season to see how big I can get the pot. If I win out the season (meaning I correctly bet for or against them every week) I'm going to treat myself to a ngd.

I have three viable options today:
Eagles -7.5
Bears +7.5
Bears' money line +250.
I do not like the Eagles' money line. Too conservative. smile

I would like to think the bears D can keep Vick contained but I am unsure. If the correct version of Cutler shows up (I hate him) I think they can do it, in which case Bears +250 looks awesome.

Thoughts?

That's a much tastier idea than overheating and breaking my garbage disposal.

When you filet a yellowtail, do not attempt to dispose of skin in the garbage disposal. Yuk yuk and more yuk.

@Wayne, A 2nd fret bm7 uses identical notes in identical position to D/b

D/b
2
3
2
0 or x
2

Bm7
2
3
2
4 (f# which is the 3rd of a D)
2

Will work perfectly. I do it all the time.

sry confused posters, thought you referenced pentatonic. that was dguyton.

i would start by just strumming single down strokes while singing your tune. Get comfortable with the singing then add complexity to your strumming.

D/B contains the notes D F# A B

Bm7 contains the notes B D F# A

You'll note they are quite similar. smile

Just play a Bm7.

If your neck is in the right position you don't have to press a lot with your fingers. You can drop your shoulder and hang your arm off of the fretboard, using the weight of your arm to apply pressure rather than grabbing with the fingers.

I disagree with Jerome a bit. While you'll be in key by staying in a pentatonic, you will not necessarily be emphasizing chord tones. Ideally you'd stay in key and also shape your melody to emphasize the chord tones of the chords that you are currently on.

Interesting idea.

Yeah I dont think phrasing is a problem, your system is just having problems with the signal. Are you recording on a camera on your computer?
