hi skwee,

yeah, pretty hard chords to play correctly, but through a lot of practice and time you might get it. I never did so I cheat.

I play B by using one finger to hold down the G,D and B strings on the 4th frett. the e string gets dampened so I do not have to play the 2nd fret on the e. Sometimes I play B like a power chord instead but still holding down those three strings and well as the 2nd fret on the A string.

for Bm I do not barr any chords.  I have my first finger on the 2nd fret of e. middle finger on 3rd frett of B. pinky finger holding 4th fret on G and ring finger holding 4th fret on D string. I do not play the E or the A string at all, only the bottom 4.

F I find very easy.1st finger holding e and B string on their first fretts. middle finger holding 2nd frett on G pinky holding3rd frett on D and ring finger on 3rd on the D. I do not play the E string.

And for F# it is the same as F but slide all your fingers in the same position up a fret.

I hope this helps you short term but if you can it really is best to learn the correct way of playing it so it sounds much much better.
The way I have shown you how I play these chords are through laziness, they do get you by but do not sound 100% corect, but for what I play, mostly these sound ok.
I try to stay away from songs wit hlots of B chords in them as my version of a B does sound bad.
If you could play B by using your middle finger, ring finger and pinky to hold down the three string on the 4th fret and use you index finger to hold down the 2nd fet on the e, it will make it sound far better.

are you talking about the chord diagrams on the songs or the list of chords?

I printed a few songs today and I got the chord diagrams.
check the drop down window before printing. There is an option for them to be at the right at the bottom or no chords.

Helena
I dont know the answer to your question.
It is not the company wolf lass that would do this for anyone, it will be the mother company, i.e Morrison Bowmore, greenhall, allied distillers chivas and diageo are the leading company for wines and spirits, when we print labels for whiskies and wines we deal thru them and not the actual brand name like wolf blass, johnny walker, turning leaf etc.

My M.D just took over the company from his dad. His dad ( our old boss) retired in april at the age of 70. His son ( my new boss) got about 24 bottles of whisky made up under his name and had lables made with his picture on. The advantage we had was we design and make our own artwork and flexographics plates, He only had to get permission from a distillery to bottle and label their whisky under adifferet name ( I cannot remember what whisky was actually in the bottles) I never even got to try any!!

And although an aussie wine it is still made in the UK as is WHITE CLOUD from new Zealand and turning leaf from ????????? probably not the UK ,lol.
we also do Grants whisky, asda whisky, johnny walker striding man, greg's and oliver's, Hendricks, reykan, and, geeeee, far too many to bore you with ,lol.

( I dont actually print the labels as I am totally colour blind, lol, even though I have glasses to rectify the colour deficiency. I am the production co ordinator, I co ordinate things ,lol)

ok Roger,

I just printed out BOnedaddy's song " OLD DOLL" and it printed fine with the chords too.

When I came back in here I re read your post and see you are saying something about a tag to print chords or not a tall?

I had mine set at Print grids right and they did, but down the bottom right. So they still printed to the right anyway and not underneath so seemed fine to me

Nope Roger,
I have had no trouble at all wit hthis. Probably due to the fact I never knew we could now type the songs out in the songwriting section.
This is great news to me.

I will go try it now and let ye know

Upyerkilt, ken, mate, are you pixxed again, cos you type like you drink more than me lol

bonedaddy

lol
no, I am totally sober bonedaddy, lol.
And last night i was not pixxed, I was just a little bit merry.
My problem with typing is I never go back and fix my typing errors, if I were to do that I would have to spend double the time checking and fixing. This would leave me no time to play the guitar.lol

I have a bad habit even when sober of doin gthing lik ethis. I keep hitting the space bar before the end of the word. I should slow down wit h my typing, that way I would make a lot more sense first time around.
First  iget speech therapy and now I have to give myself typing therapy , whats next!! lol

well see yer wolf blass bottles? see those lables on those bottles? that is my work that prints them lables!!
And I thin kthat was the label that My company just won an internationa award for in Haiwia a few days ago. We won first place and came in 2nd for another label. I will have to wait until theM.D is back to find out exactly which ones.
Ahhh the wonderful word of self adhesive labels!!!! lol

The wine in the bottle is nice too.

Ken - If there's one thing I've learned from coming on this site, it's how to annoy moderators, first Roger and now you!  I've read quite a few of your posts and your sense of humour is probably as bizarre to some as mine.

I'll point out here and now that I not here to pixx people off.  If you extrapolate the theory behind the proposition "Scots English is incomprehensible to the English and should be banned"  Then you'll realise that it actually highlights the narrow mindedness of the English rather than denigrates any other culture.

I wasn't aware that we were arguing, merely... discussing

I'm glad we had this chance to communicate!

Ye have not annoyed me bonedaddy.
I was probably a bit .... whatever the word is,lol.
I just read your last line about being english and getting into fights and.... ahh forget it lol

ye never said anything that bad really, And I know it was not an argument, I said lets not argue, I never said lets stop arguing, lol

small things when said can get replies and then more replies and can escalate from there, I tihn kthats what I might have been trying to say? maybe I am just talking pure urine now? lol

anyway

Hi Lieven

what a strange sentence, I can't make any more sense of it than upyerkilt!

I've got to say I have never seen anyone so inquisitive about everything as you are, I stand in awe!

Briefly, Scots Gaelic and Irish Gaelic are different but related.  Scots English is incomprehensible to the English and should be banned!  English English is the only language worth speaking as it's the only language I know.  Japanese is a "tonal" language with the inflection of the spoken word giving it meaning.

"I love being English - it gives me a great vantage point from which to look down on everyone else"!  Can't remember who said that but it's great for getting into fights tongue

Bonedaddy

lets not argue about this on this website.
But what you say even in jest without smilies to signify you are joking is not very nice. Englsih, scots english, american english spanish english as well as lots of other sorts of engliosh is worth speaking or there would be no communication.
It is good you love being english as you hsould since you are english, but there is no need to slag off other cultures, langauges or people.
But I do get the feeling you are only joking since we are all nice poeple on chodie.

It would look bad though to any new comers reading for the first time

Lots of topics go off topic a lot. Some is good reading, others make you think what the **** has that got to do wit hthe topic?

So here we can talk about anything at all, and go off topic since there is no topic.

What a great idea eh?

1,775

(44 replies, posted in About Chordie)

yes,
It is all just dialect really. It is still english but wit hslight differences that everyone that can speak english can normally understand I think.
The welsh gaelic also pronouces all letters in their words so I am told.

Anyway,
this is getting into a discusiiopn now and off the original topic and totally in the wrong place,
so How about this topic gets either closed, locked or moved and we can carry on whatever comes along in chordie chat?
A topic that can change off subject, just as if we were sitting in one big room and anyone can say anything.

hmm, I am going to go creat that topic right now,
