The night was drawing in and cold air filled the skyI
could see forever sparkling deep within her eyes
Nothing could be clearer as we gazed into the stars
That nothing comes between two people sharing hearts

Touch of your soft hand brushed away your lies
The touch of your lips eased my breaking heart

Hi Houseofcards
Tried your lyrics with various chord combinations and timings that could work.
Would be interested to know how you see the song being played

Hi James,
Great stuff. Enjoyed giving it a go.
The line
"Sounds like rolling thunder snoring on the floor". Reminds me of my old dog. How She used to keep us awake snoring by the side of the bed. smile

Hi
Rick Wakeman recorded an whole album based on the Jules Verne book" Journey to the centre of the earth" in  1974.
Parts of the book are read out to compliment the music.
I had already read the book.
A great prog Rock album.

Hi,
This ironic story was related  by Ginger Baker on the TV documentry about Jimi Hendrix life

One story he told was of the night Hendrix died. Ginger had come into possession of a bottle of pure cocaine hydrochloride from a friend who worked at Charing Cross hospital. Keen to share his windfall, Ginger called Hendrix but could not get hold of him. Ginger proceeded to get stuck in, OD'd and came round to a doctor telling him that Hendrix was dead. "The extraordinary thing is,' said Ginger, very matter of factly, 'if he'd had the coke he wouldn't have died because he wouldn't have gone to sleep."

I wonder how Jimi would have developed musically if he had lived it was a tragic loss.

Hi,
Is anything worth what you pay for it.
If a person is willing to pay the price then the article is worth the price. Be it a guitar or anything.

Hi etc
I think Hendrix  mostly played a right-handed Fender Stratocaster upside-down and left-handed.
When not using his teeth.

Hi dylan
Being a fingerpicking style Acoustic kinda player I nearly always look at a song in those terms.
The chord progressions I felt where nice and easy and fitted the lyrics well.
Nice one.

Hi
This has been an interesting post and a little volatile with reference to religious beliefs, jokes and with some of the original thread topic.
I maybe be shot down in flames by  the awesome knowledge of some of our Choridans.
But didn’t this Satanic stuff all start with Black Sabbath. Admitted by Ozzy Osbourne it was a ploy to bring in more punters. On the understanding that  people paid to be scared watching horror movies so why not a rock group. Basically a way to make the band more popular and make money and it certainly worked judging by their success.

As for songs with subliminal messages  the Heavy metal band Judas Priest was taken to court in America
For allegedly causing the suicide deaths of two young men through the use of them.
This was denied by Rob Halford speaking for the band. Finally the court ruled for Judas Priest..
But the whole case left quite a few doubts.

http://www.freewebs.com/wairoa/jprenotrialinfo.htm

This link gives an interesting account of the whole case.

I feel they have probably been used to some extent  as to the effectiveness of them and indeed their aim.
Well I guess its all down to the mental state of those who listen to them.
