Welcome to Chordie Jethro,

I escaped from the UK 7 years ago and it is the best thing I have ever done. Wishing you all the best in your adventure 'down under'.

Very cute but all teeth and claws still, and I have the scrathes to proove it, my little dog Minnie spends her time sat on my lap or behind my when Silkie gets playful but the other cats Garfield and TT can sort her out when she gets too boisterous. However Silkie does like to come for a walk with Minnie, TT and I and is well behaved then.

My new addition, Silkie. Found wandering the streets of Almancil but now settling in with Minnie, TT and Garfield.

If you can find the song on YouTube, or similar, post a link to it here and see if that helps.

That is where we get the phrase "Drawn and Quartered". It was expected that the horses could rip the victim apart but it usually took the help of a sword to get the job done.

Here are the details of the punishment "Hanged, drawn and quartered": http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hanged,_dr … _quartered

None too pleasant.

Hi John,

Have you a link for the piece that you can post so we can read it too?

The name and the price are unimportant in my opinion. If it plays and sounds good, it is good. My 12er is a pre-owned, 70's, Italian made, Melody which came in the shop at much less than yours and, as it happens, we have an Ovation 12er in at the moment which costs 10 times more than mine but I much prefer mine.

Do let us know how 'the trout' gets on with it.

Without seeing the wording of the e-mail you received it is difficult to be sure. Apart from Jeff's comments the other thing that comes to mind is that if you have subscribed to a thread you should get a message if there has been a new post added to it.

Please copy and paste the message you received so we can try and get to the bottom of it.

Strange that this should come up as my friend Howard was telling me only a couple of days ago about his time in America some years ago when he bought only the second karaoke system to be sold there.

He was asked to do a gig at a veterans care home and one wheelchair bound young man started singing to the songs. The staff were amazed as this guy had never uttered a sound or responded to any other stimulus in his time there. The reaction from many others was very favourable too and a good time was had by all.

Howard never got a repeat gig, the staff were so impressed with the reaction from their patients that they bought their own system to include it as regular therapy.

Sorry I did not make it. I sat down after the Rock Choir meeting and I fell asleep - probably as my new kitten, Silkie, had woke me in the early hours of the night before playing with a mouse on my bed.

I dont get it,,, its just a Am w/ 2nd 3rd an 4th fingers and your index across the second fret.     Once i learned this form and the E shaped one,, I use the heck out of them.

KEEP AT IT-- Barr chords will save ya.

.... but the Am shape only becomes F#m on the 9th fret.......... and that is a big jump!!
