Hello Graham,  welcome home, and talking of home, any chance of posting some pics of what sounds like a fantastic place to live?

Thanks for posting, really enjoyed listening. I'm going back to check out some more of his stuff. Please tell Derek he has at least one fan on the other side of the planet.

I think perhaps you miss my point CG. Although suicide bombers do go back many hundreds of years, and their were many plane hijackings in the 60s. My point is that the song itself just comes straight from the heart. It doesn't need rehearsal, just feeling. This would go down well in any pub, folk club or festival.

I think its great. It's straight from your heart, I can feel your frustration in coming out in the song. I ran it through a few times and it took me back to the 60s, to artists like Buffy Sainte Marie, Joan Baez, Donovan. It's raw and it's organic. Love it.

We used to make a guy out of old clothes, paper, straw or anything else you could get your hands on. Then we'd stand outside the shops or pubs and ask, a penny for the guy. That would help to buy the fireworks.  These days it seems you just have to dress like a guy and sit on a blanket with a dog

Guy Fawkes night, or bonfire night as we used to call it used to be only on November 5th when we were kids. Now it starts around Halloween, ( America gave us that little gem). And finishes on New Years Day. The rockets get bigger and what goes up must come down. I still have a dent in my car bonnet where one hit. I've just realised I'm beginning to enjoy being a grumpy old man.

Mojo you're a star at writing simple easy listening tunes along with lyrics that seem to fit in and have some meaning. Another great tune with great lyrics and very well sung,  Congratulations.

Nothing wrong with your voice mojo, you sound great. Not sure that I heard the first version, but I do like this very laid back easy to listen to song. Thanks for posting.

Well now, we've heard the music, found out where Ipanema is and even met the girl. Bet you still wouldn't swap for the girl from Carrollton Georgia

Just brilliant.  I never took much notice of Bad Company, but if they sound anything like you guys maybe I should pay more attention.

My partner and I spend a fair bit of time in and around the dales in summer. Hope to meet up with you sometime. Good luck with the move.

Sometimes it's ten , minutes,  sometimes two hours, depending on home or work commitments .I like to pick one of the acoustics up every day. Sometimes it's a sixer, sometimes the twelver, sometimes the bouzouki,  sometimes the uke. The electric only comes out when I have the house to myself and I can blow the windows out. As long as I get a daily fix I'm easily pleased.

I probably wouldn't notice anyway, the old brain cell isn't to sharp due to being pickled in beer for to many years.

G 7th although you have to screw it down pretty tight, which means it takes time and a lot of effort to release it.

Sorry for your loss, they really are one of the family.

Anything that comes out of a place called Happy Hollow just has to be good.

Certainly food for thought, we should never take anything or anyone for granted. Nothing lasts forever.

Looks like I still have a lot to learn.

I remember buying a single of theirs, See Emily Play, think the B side was Scarecrow. Then I brought an album Meddle. Side two was just one track, Echoes. It was at the time mind blowing. Now when I listen to it, it reminds me of going for a hearing test and trying to pick out the high pitched sounds. 60s and early 70s a great innovative band, but for me they just lost the appeal.
