I do agree with you FastLane. I hate it when people slurp their drinks. It REALLY irritates me. Or people whistling out of tune. I think musician's ears are more sensitive to noises, especially if you have a good ear for music. Like, I can tune a guitar by ear.(I usually use a tuner, but it's useful if I don't have one). So yeah, I think you've made a point there.
More annoying noises...
People scraping their shoes across the floor.(gives me goosebumps)
chalk across a blackboard.
My little brother talking...
Sorry. I'm a bit confused here. I haven't studied my music theory for awhile. But you're probably right.
Looks like you guys had an awesome time!
Obviously it's not him playing, but it's funny.

There's a lot of other ones as well.
That is one HUGELY talented man. I couldn't believe it was real until I googled him. That is just so... wow.
Here, try this.

There is also a tab at ultimate guitar which matches the video.
Try books by Gary Turner and Brenton White. Most of the books come with a DVD and CD, although some only come with a CD. The books teach anything from beginner to advanced and cover anything from jazz to lead guitar. I am self-taught and have found these books really helpful.
Spammers are the scum of the internet, the most annoying thing apart from viruses.
I agree. Chordie is the most awesome guitar forum ever!
Then it would be: C, F7, G, D, A7.

I really like bands/artists that just stick to what they do and don't change even when people tell them to. If you just be yourself and don't try to be someone else then somewhere out in the world you'll probably have fans. I think that's why successful artists have been so successful, because they been so genuine and real and not fake.
I always find that singing and playing at the same time takes practice because every song is different. I like to listen to the song over and over before I start trying to play it.
You seem to like the slash chords daddycool. Another well written song.
Just out of curiosity, How often would you have to change the nut on a guitar?
Damn right tubatooter, you beat me to it.
I might have a go at it
Yep, there's a difference between hoarding and not bothering to tidy up or throw out old stuff. I have a drawer in my bedroom filled with old guitar tabs. I'm not hoarding them, I just haven't got around to sorting them all out.
beth4452 wrote:The big question is do you mind screaming? Bands like As I Lay Dying have a lot of classic metal vibes in their music you just have to handle the vocals. You should check out a band called "Unearth", I think they MIGHT be along the lines of what you're looking for. Hope you find something, music hunting can be so frustrating!
Don't know about that. As I lay dying has really growling vocals and other metalcore bands seem to have the same. It kinda annoys me because I can't understand what they're saying til I've looked up the lyrics. So metalcore is really my thing. I prefer hard rock and heavy metal, but not TOO heavy. I reckon the metal bands from the 80's are better.
Wow, I did not know Steve Martin played the banjo. Seems to be quite a talented man.
Good on ya BGD, Keep that fat off!:)
