HI geo smile

Lots of emotion packed into this piece for sure and rightfully so. Glad to hear she pulled through and is still with you. It must have been scary for a while.

Well Done
Ken

PS I had a listen to Rosalie again..sweet song smile   I'm curious why you haven't posted the link up for Fat Sh*t, or did I miss it along the way. Your talent to write and produce really shines in this one.

Cheers

Hi cj-5 smile

Thank you for the listen and kind words. Sorry about not being able to find it as I took down the Myspace link and haven't gotten around to putting up the Soundclick link. I'm real embarrassed by my recordings and cringe when I hear them. sad

Writing songs comes from the heart. I'll bet you have it in you if you don't force it. Looking forwards to reading/hearing your songs here. smile

Rock on Daddy smile

I like the way it plays with the open strings after pop and rock.

Well Done

Ken

This is a follow up to Goodbye Billy Walker where the main character has gone home to tell what has happened and say goodbye. Hoping to find an inner piece he stops at the river he and Billy used to swim in when they were growing up but he's kidding himself and he hurts more then ever.

I changed the chording to G-C-AM-D and will re-edit the print later.

Enjoy

Hi John smile

For me a little piece of a melody will pop into my head at any time. It is from that that I build the rest of the song. The melody dictates the chord progression and how the lyrics will play out. I have never written out a chord progression without a melody or lyrics and it feels to me that it would be easier with a melody in mind as to how to write the lyrics and Chords, but then I'm no pro at writing and I could be wrong.

I hope that helps you out smile

Remember there is no definitive formula for writing a song other then have a passion for it and it will come to you and if you are happy when it is finished that is all that counts.

Best of Luck and I hope to read/hear some of your tunes in the Songwriting Forum.

Ken

I don't play guitar hero but hey if it's what your into and your having fun then keep at it. I'm sure there are lots of players that play it but they would all prefer the real thing. smile

PS cj-5 Welcome to Chordie. smile

There's lots of free and good tutorials on Youtube.

Hi Ark
Appreciate your kind words my friend. smile
It's gonna be a stress toss up between figuring out recording and putting myself on vid for sure. At least I won't have a mic in front of me...I hate them. There also won't have to be too much thinking so I can afford to have a few wobbly pops to mellow. smile
No metronome..no mic and hopefully not too much computerizing, Here's hopefully hoping.

Thanks Again

Ken
