Very sorry to hear about the loss of your friend.  I'm sure you'll fill us in when the time is right.  In the meantime, regardless, a loss is a loss and prayers go out to his family and of course you, and his other friends dearly missing him.

I've had a sick kid, so my two days off were spent taking care of her.  I think she's finally getting better now.  I have to work tonight and tomorrow as usual, but if I get a little extra time while Jim and the girls are painting the cow or something, I'll try to get on.  Days are rough around here though as the family usually wants me involved with them and not playing my guitar.  LOL!

Prayers.  Hopefully he just bought himself a new tent and some gear and is out in the woods having himself a little alone time.  Nonetheless... alone time in the woods without much word is a bit off even for those that are a bit off.  Again, prayers for his family and his safe return.

We did our usual - went to the cemetary yesterday and planted flowers on the man who would have been my father in law's grave.  He served in the Navy (as did my husband) and his stone is just beautiful.  I never met him, but that doesn't stop me from feeling love for a man who clearly raised his son well.  Trying to explain Memorial day, and the grandpa that they never had to my girls is a little tricky though... as well as the sister they never had who is laid at his feet.  It's raining today here, the first Memorial Day in many years that hasn't been a beautiful sunny day.  I salute those that have served and are no longer with us.

Good luck DJ - If you give him one of yours and it doesn't work out... you could get it back.  If you get him a BETTER one than one of yours, you could end up with IT as a new guitar if it doesn't work out.  If it does work out, you'll have someone to play with, and a guitar you really like to play when you visit.  I think it's a win-win, and hopefully he'll like it as much as we all do!!!!  GREAT idea!

You'll have to help us out a little here to help you out.  Some of the members are quite good at figuring out chords by just listening.  If this is/isn't it, we'll need to know, and if not you'll need to find something for them to listen to so they can figure it out for ya - if you're still looking.    Thanks!!!
