Glad you made it out of there, Roger, but that is one beautiful instrument!

The owner of that company obviously cares about the folks in his town (sounds like that factory probably provides the only means of making a living for the town's inhabitants) and is keeping the local economy afloat. That is always worth mentioning, Amy, and has everything to do with this post/thread. smile

THAT is awesome, DE!  Thanks Roger!

Can't say I'm surprised though. I have interpreted our fearless leader as quite a nice guy for a long time now and this just proves my point.

What a great way to start a Sunday!

I am happy we're friends, you two!

Okay, but I'm still working on mine. Once I get "The Cigarette Train" all researched, written and recorded, I'll put it on youtube and on my blog with a donate button to both Alzheimer's Research and the American Cancer Society. Not on YT, just on the blog with the button.

We'll call it my "swan song", since it'll be my last foray into the studio. Luckily there's a guy just down the road from me, and I can get him a little at the time till I get done.

Any Georgia Chordites who may wanna pitch in talent would be welcome.

But.....I'm gonna do this thing.

This forum is for all questions regarding JamPlay.com. Chordie do recommend Jamplay. It has some really impressive online video lessons that retails as low as $19.95.

Please tell all Chordie users what you think about the course.

Been meaning to join in, but I got this little brain-problem which doesn't allow me to handle money very well anymore, so my membership will need to wait a while till I can get my wife to work it into my allowance! LOL! (No! Really!)

We don't do it anymore, but she used to say, "Beer or guitar lessons, Bill?", Beer or guitar?, Beer or guitar?????"

"Shut up, I'm thinkin'!", I used to tell her, a la the late Jack Benny. smile smile

See y'all soon!

Welcome to our friendly little place on the web, AK. Feel free to join in and teach us somethin'! smile

I'm kinda the unofficial "Wal-Mart Greeter" here, and those last three words up there are my "catch-phrase". Unofficially, of course. smile

This time, it is a Yamaha EG112 with a Humbucker in the bridge position. Plus a Fender Frontman 15G. All for $55.00. Not a great deal. Still a pretty good deal.

Pawn shop, JJJ? I ask, because about 10 years ago, I think, Fender put out an accoustic guitar with a light blue beach motif on it. ANyone remember the model number? I don't. There were only about 500 produced and I almost bought it at 380.00, but thought better of it. It was just the "uniqueness" of it, I think. I knew I'd get tired of looking at that thing and as a result wouldn't play it.

I know: "What's that got to do with my NGD, Bill?", you're asking?

Not a thing except that's why I frequent pawnshops: old cymbals still playable and cheap guitars which just happen to be classics. I also have a 15 watt Frontman, and I love it.

TF, that's you on the right, correct?

Just kidding. My friend Peter in Rothenburg has 85 basses at last count.

Hey TF,

From what I hear on ESPN, your boys have a way of bouncing back.

As for me, I was a benchwarmer much of the time, and made neither team A nor B. Finally joined the concert, and then the marching band. smile

Listened, liked and commented. This is some fantastic music, Graham, but I kinda knew if you hang with this guy, he'd have to be damn good. smile

Thanks for sharing "Sunlight" with me! I needed it today!

On another topic. I'll be in and out for a while. D and I are cleaning house/making improvements prior to trying to sell it, so we'll see y'all a little more infrequently.

Thanks

Heheh. Glad I read the comments below the title, Graham. I read it that the electric version was "worthless". Anything but, my friend, anything but. Comments left for your drummer as well. Very impressed with all of you. Very tight performance.

I'm a frayed knot, Davy05, sorry.

I think I've gone into what the Apes on the Planet called The Forbidden Zone, the zone where my lack of knowledge is very evident, sorry. Hopefully your gf was able to figure it out.

Hi, JJ, Bill here

First, I left a comment on your YT site.

Second, I love The Weight and your version rocks!

Third, is that cannon fire in the background? smile

All the best!

Wouldn't that make me come across as a self-centered slob, dino.  I'm also reconsidering the lettering of the name on the back. No one but us knows what it means anyway, and if I want it done later, like to wear to a Chordie party, I can always have it done then.

I think I'll pass, but thanks for the suggestion.

Do miss the "Munkey Wards" once in awhile..... still gettin' Harbor Freight.

LOL ... You gotta shirt? Reminds me of this old Monty Python sketch, about 4 Yorkshiremen trying to outdo one another, about how poor they were growing up.

Thanks, Amy, for the 'splainin' and Doug, sorry; this happens sometimes; it's almost there, then just like a butterfly, it's gone. Maybe that's why we always see those comedy shows with demented people trying to pluck something out of the air? smile smile

TF, I had never seen that sketch, and I'm such a big Python fan, I have the dialogue of the "Holy Handgrenade" memorized and get asked to do it at family gatherings.  It was hilarious, was your link and made me think of this one by Dana Carvey;
