This is my first real song I,ve written since joining Chordie.Feeling down in the dumps last night and came up with this. Its about remembering old times with who ever. Could be your dog or an old friend or an old lover or an old guitar.Yer choice.
LOL Thanks Old Doll Could use a fresh pair
There is lots for "free me acoustic" by a band called Shinedown Is this the song?
songs up in songwriting forum
Thanks for all the responses in chat. I,m sure there is a lot more material :lol:to be found
This is a link to his web site.It has fascinating auto biography of when he played with Wilson Pickett, jammed with Hendrix ans so on.Lots of pics and media clips.I didnt know it but reading his bio he was the first person to use the voice box.He also has a section where you can listen to some of his tunes.May I suggest "RIPDAD"... in honor of his dad passing. Also "Going Down".Unfortunately he has no songs off the Charlee album. He also has a forum where you can talk directly with him as he views himself as a regular guy.
Check it out ,its pretty cool

Thanks Again Old Doll.
Yup!!! Its still an explosive world 40 Yrs later.
Kinda sucks that its human nature.
Always has,Always will be.
Campfires work for me.Also driving alone while touring the country side nice and slow.Enjoying the scenery without the radio turned on makes it real easy to visualize and work out melodies and lyrics.
Keep on Pluckin

This is a fictional song about a chance meeting with a homeless person and the lessons he taught me. Its a piano piece but I cant play the piano so guitar will have to do.Kinda Billy Joel-ish
Thanks for the links Roger, just finished listening to them and they are as I thought they would be.Wonderfully sung and written. As I was saying to Helena I find the Irish accent a very emotional accent. Well done Helena.
Are "Donna my Little Girl" and "Failed Marriage" your songs?
I'll have to find out from you how to post up my tunes on the net.I'm sure its not as easy as it looks.
Thanks Again

taking great pride in teaching you'all what I know(its really not that much).WOW.This is really cool. Its gonna be a good summer after all.I have no doubt that you'll pick up the guitar nooooooo problemo. You've got a great place to learn and an even better family to learn with.Along with the super friendly and very knowledgeable musicians here, your gonna have a blast.
Thanks for the great time Saturday night and the hangover Sunday morning. It was well worth it.
Nothing like campfires and guitars and good people(A beer or two or three doesn't hurt either)
I'll be giving you a ring.
