I'm Missing You Againby KAP54

I [C]can,t believe how times gone by and [F]where I stand [C]today.

I [F]miss you in the [C]dawns cool light, I [G]miss you in the [G7]early morning.

I [C]struggle to recall the good times,[F]memories that that won,t [C]die.

I [F]hang on to those [C]close to me and I [G]let the sad ones [G7]fly cause I know,

[Am]Yesterday [G]has come and [F]gone.

And I [Dm]fight to keep on holding [G]on.

[Am]I,m [G]missing you a[C]gain.

[Am]I,m [G]missing my old [C]friend.

The [F]summer of my [C]life,s going by and [Am]Autumn,s closing [G]in.

And [F]I,m [G]missing you a[C]gain.

[C]Images that seem so real still [F]dance inside my [C]mind.

[F]Skipping stones and [C]long walks home,like [G]eagles we could [G7]fly so hi-gh.

[C]Now I bind my memories in a [F]book of times gone [C]by.

I [F]don,t know why they [C]come to me and I[G]knowthey won't [G7]frighten me but,

[Am]Yesterday [G]has come and [F]gone.

A [Dm]shadows glance has moved me [G]along.

[Am]I,m [G]missing you a[C]gain.

Yes[Am]I,m [G]missing my old [C]friend.

The [F]summer of my [C]life,s going by and [Am]Autumn,s closing [G]in.

And [F]I,m [G]missing you a[C]gain.

Middle Eight

[Am7]To catch a [Am]memory, will [F]tell you who you are.

[Am7]Fleeting [Am]moments, just [F]like a shooting star.

[Am7]Hang on [Am]to, the [F]travels that you,ve made.

Cause with [Dm]time surely your [F]memories will [G]fade.

[Am]I,m [G]missing you a[C]gain.

Yes [Am]I,m [G]missing my old [C]friend.

The [F]summer of my [C]life's going by and [Am]Autumn,s closing [G]in.

And [F]I,m [G]missing you a[C]gain

The Price of Gas Gives Me Gasby KAP54

Chorus

The price of [D]gas gives me gas,the price of [G]oil makes me boil.

[D]Who's to blame for this drain on [A]todays so-ci-ety.[A7]

It would be [D]nice not to fight ,with my [G]paycheck all my life.

[D]But I hear, the [A]oilman cheer and the [A]tax man snear, cause a records here.[D]

Now [A]Monday morning first I rise, than [D]drive to work but close my eyes.

I [A]know if I look up what I will [D]see.

[A]Gas is up 10 cents a litre,[D]Trucks on E and I cant feed her.

My [E]belly starts to [E7]swell then comes that [A]smell.[A7]Well

Chorus

The price of gas gives me [D]gas ,the price of [G]oil makes me boil.

[D]Who's to blame for this drain on [A]todays so-ci-ety.[A7]

It would be [D]nice not to fight, with a [G]paycheck all my life.

[D]But I hear, the [A]oilman cheer and the [A]tax man snear,cause a [D]records here.

Now [A]over in the emerald isle, sweet [D]Lena goes on with a smile.

Though [A]oil and gas has gone up drasticall[D]y.

[A]In the ports the tankers waiting,and [D]Lena, she's conspiritating

[E]That they're waiting [E7]for their price to [A]sell.[A7] well

Chorus

The price of [D]gas gives me gas ,the price of [G]oil makes me boil.

[D]Who's to blame for this drain on [A]todays so-ci-ety[A7]

It would be [D]nice not to fight, with my [G]paycheck all my life.

[D]But I hear,the [A]oilman cheer and the [A]tax man snear cause a [D]records here

Now [A]way down south in Tennessee, the [D]riddler shows what life could be.

They're [A]trying to pass a law to boost [D]moral.

[A]Gas attendants wear a mask, then [D]draw a gun and take your cash.

[E]Cause if it's legal [E7]who the hell can[A]tell. [A7]Well

Chorus

The price of gas [D]gives me gas,the price of [G]oil makes me boil.

[D]Who's to blame for this drain on [A]todays so-ci-ety.[A7]

It would be [D]nice not to fight, with a [G]paycheck all my life.

[D]But I hear, the [A]oilman cheer and the [A]tax man snear,cause a [D]records here.

So [A]let me give you all a warning,[D]flatulence helps global warming.

[A]Drifting in the air that we all [D]breath.

[A]So I ask you please no farting,[D]we don't need nobody starting.

A [E]global chain-[E7]reaction straight from [A]hell. [A7]well

Chorus

The price of [D]gas gives me gas,the price of [G]oil makes me boil.

[D]Who's to blame for this drain on [A]todays so-ci-ety.[A7]

It would be [D]nice not to fight, with my [G]paycheck all my life.

[D]But I hear the [A]oilman cheer and the [A]tax man snear,time to [A]have a be-e-e-e-e-er cause a records here[D]

This is a link to his web site.It has fascinating auto biography of when he played with Wilson Pickett, jammed with Hendrix ans so on.Lots of pics and media clips.I didnt know it but reading his bio he was the first person to use the voice box.He also has a section where you can listen to some  of his tunes.May I suggest "RIPDAD"... in honor of his dad passing. Also "Going Down".Unfortunately he has no songs off the Charlee album. He also has a forum where you can talk directly with him as he views himself as a regular guy.
Check it out ,its pretty cool

Shadow Of The Agesby KAP54

                               (harp intro)

I'm in the [C]shadow of the [Dm]ages and I'm [F]looking back in [C]time.

I see [C]people fighting [Dm]wars for the sur[F]vival of man[C]kind.

[F]Assassinations and [C]cover ups,every[F]one wants to be [C]king.

Should [C]I look to the [F]future Lord for [G7]something good to [C]sing.

                                  (harp)

I'm in the [C]shadow of the [Dm]ages and I'm [F]looking back in [C]time.

To [C]Kent State Uni[Dm]versity where [F]four young people [C]died.

They were [F]demonstrating [C]love and peace,they [F]wanted to be [C]free

Now [C]they will be re[F]membered Lord for [G7]they are truly [C]free.

                                 (harp)

I'm in the [C]shadow of the [Dm]ages and I'm [F]looking back in [C]time.

To [C]John and Bobby [Dm]Kennedy and the [F]reasons that they [C]died.

Then [F]there was Martin [C]Luther King, for these [F]three so many [C]cried.

A [C]fatal shot,red [F]blood runs hot, more [G7]questions left to [C]hide.

                                 (harp)

I,m in the [C]shadow of the [Dm]ages and I,m [F]looking back in [C]time.

Poli[C]ticians live the [Dm]lives of fools they [F]live there lives in [C]crime.

They [F]say that they'll do [C]good for man, they,ll [F]clean and wash the [C]land.

But [C]when it comes there [F]time for work they [G7]turn and wash there [C]hands.

I,m in the [C]shadow of the [Dm]ages but I'm [F]looking into [C]time.

I [C]wonder whats in [Dm]store for us will the [F]church bells always [C]chime.

[F]Global war is [C]at our shore, life's [F]misery will [C]bring.

Should [C]I look to the [F]future Lord for [G7]something good to [C]sing

Shining To Stayby KAP54

It was a [C]cold Autumn [Dm]day and I [F]remember the [C]way,

That this [C]old man came [Dm]into my [F]life for the [G]day.

With his [C]coat faded [Dm]brown and his [F]hat worn and [C]grey.

And his [C]eyes they were [Dm]shining, they were [F]shining to [C]say.

He said, [Am]Old Man's my [Em]name I'm not [Am]playing a [Em]game.

The [Am]faces on [Em]people they [Am]all look the [Em]same.

He said ,You [Am]look like a [Em]man that could [Am]help people [Em]see,

Put [Am]clothes on there [D]backs or help them [G]get to there feet.

So I [C]said ,Hey there [Dm]Old Man why you [F]bothering [C]me.

[C]I've got no [Dm]money ,what [F]good can I [G]be.

[C]I've got no [Dm]job I've got [F]no place to [C]stay,

And his [C]eyes they were [Dm]shining ,[F]shining to [C]say.

He said,[Am]Son can't you [Em]see won't you [Am]listen to [Em]me.

You [Am]must keep on [Em]striving cause [Am]strivings the [Em]key.

And [Am]if you help [Em]others if [Am]you do your [Em]best.

Than [Am]others will [D]follow than [G]soon will the rest.

So I [C]said,Hey there [Dm]Old Man I [F]see what you [C]mean.

But the [C]love in this [Dm]world is [F]far far to [G]lean.

[C]Thousands aren't [Dm]working jobs [F]hold us at [C]bay.

And his [C]eyes they were [Dm]shining, they were [F]shining to [C]say

He said,[Am]Jobs they don't [Em]matter its the [Am]friends that you [Em]make.

If you [Am]act like a [Em]human and [Am]not like a [Em]fake.

[Am]If you share with [Em]others what [Am]little you [Em]have.

Than [Am]others will [D]share with you [G]all that they can.

As I [C]listened to the [Dm]Old Man I felt [F]deep down [C]inside.

I [C]felt something [Dm]churning and [F]it was my [G]pride.

When I [C]looked to the [Dm]Old Man who [F]changed me that [C]day,

His [C]eyes they were [Dm]shining,[F]shining to [C]say.

He said,[Am]Son I must [Em]go I,ve got [Am]something to [Em]do.

He [Am]scratched on his [Em]head ,spat and [Am]shined up his [Em]shoe.

And he [Am]gave me a [Em]dollar and he [Am]went on his [Em]way.

He [Am]went round the [D]corner and he [G]left me that day.

So I ran [C]after the [Dm]Old Man and [F]deep down I [C]cried .

But [C]before I could [Dm]find him he [F]layed down and [G]died.

So I [C]sat down [Dm]beside him and [F]started to [C]pray.

And his [C]eyes they were [Dm]shining, they were [F]shining to [C]stay

Yes his [C]eyes they were [Dm]shining,[F]shining to [C]stay
