Thanks everyone - I waited 2 weeks to post to make sure I could do it. I honestly do not miss the old cigs at all. If you or anyone you know is looking for a way to quit, search for e-cig forum, or look on you-tube for e-cigs. Vapor 4 life is the brand I started with, but there are numerous options out there.
Cam,
I'd love to have Singletary for a coach - I heard him Sunday night praising Pete Carrol for giving his team an butt- kickin'. He knows how to motivate his team that's for sure!
You will never have another "first guitar" - moving on to a better sound or playability is fine, but you should never retire your first love. I still grab the step-daughters Yammi that I re-learned on from time to time and it always brings a smile to my face!
I have been smoking cigarettes for over 30 years, 1-1/2 to 2 packs a day. Today marks 2 weeks without lighting a regular cigarette, but with the help of "vaping" e-cigs. I first read about e-cigs on a sports related message board and nearly every post was from someone who had quit or knew someone who had quit with the help of this wonderful device. I immediately placed an order and haven't looked back since.
I don't want to spam the chordie board by promoting this product, but I truly feel that it is the ticket for helping someone get off tobacco. If anyone is interested in additional information, please send me an email.
I already feel 100% better, no longer spend 15 minutes coughing my lungs up each morning and the entire planet smells and tastes better. I really feel like this device has helped to save my life.
Great tune and slideshow - I could see it being used by the ND board of tourism. Quite a talent there is Adam - It's good to hear Prine's influence in the young folk.
Then this week, VT went and got thrashed by James Madison! Bwahahahahahahah!!!!
Made my day.
I got a kick out of this quote from some dude on ESPN - "James Madison's best moment since the Federalist Papers."
I don't want to talk about it.. bonehaeded fumblin at the end of the half, holding penalty on the last play to wipe out a game winning TD..
I don't want to talk about it.
First pic I've seen of you top. Love the uke!!!
LOL - That's not me Butch - That's the guitar player for Train.
Here's one of me (on the left) and Zurf.
I bought a fender Nohea Uke when they first came out - IU just couldn't resist the Fender headstock on a Uke and wanted something durable to take to the beach, pool, etc. I'm sure there are better sounding Ukes out there, but the fender is a blast to play and sounds pretty damn good to me.
If it's good for the Train guitarist (Jimmy Stafford), it's good enough for me.
Toots - I'd bet rockin' out T.N.T. with Casey in front of his teacher was well worth anything lost by your short term leave from your gig. A valuable life lesson was taught - sometimes, regardless of what management thinks, you just gotta ROCK!
I was at a construction site in Winston-Salem. My secretary received a call from her sister telling her about the twin tower planes. I couldn't believe it - telling everyone to get back to work. The internet was so bogged down, you couldn't get any news. I went home for lunch and sat with my jaw on the floor watching the towers fall. It's a day I'll never forget and watching these tributes still brings tears to my eyes.

Welcome to chordie GuitarAtlanta.
The song you are looking for is "I Could Not Ask For More". There are a few versions here on chordie
Thanks for the link Cam. As a student of middle school in NY, I understand the “If you’re a D student in New York, you’re mayor of Des Moines.†quote. Kids grow up fast up there. Have too.
Very Funny.
It's been a while - hope you and the wife are doing well.
No worries guys, my wonderful wife has a great sense of humor. She just laughed at the first comment. So I told her, "stop laughing and go make me a sammich".
I think she may have broken a rib laughing so hard at that one.
I waited on her hand and foot the rest of the day (but I burnt her toast on purpose)
Welcome to chordie liveoaklyrics! Please post a link of your tunes when you get a chance so we call all check out The Cardiac Kids.
I know what you mean Doc, confusing Bryan Adams for Ryan Adams. This kind of thing happens to me all the time...
Just this morning at breakfast, I meant to say "honey, please pass the sugar", but instead what came out was "you witch, you've messed up my whole life!"
Happy NAD papaguitar - post a vid on youtube so we can hear her!
The backlight in my LCD monitor burned out a few weeks ago. Got a new 21" for a little more than $100 - I think the old 17" cost $250+ when I bought it. I've still got the old one in thoughts of replacing the lamp, but I would really miss the additional real estate.
If you've got a spare monitor - or can borrow one, check that first by swapping it. If that monitor doesn't work, it is likely your video card. I had one of them blow a couple years ago also, cost about $50 for a new card, simple plug in installation.
Great story Amy, thanks for sharing. And now you are sharing the joys of making music with your kids - great stuff.
I Imagine there were some masterpieces composed on this throne.
Lennon's toilet sells for $14,740 at UK auction
Sat Aug 28, 2:51 pm ET
LONDON (Reuters Life!) – A toilet that belonged to late Beatle John Lennon fetched 9,500 pounds ($14,740) at auction on Saturday, around 10 times its estimate, the sale organizers said.
Lennon, who was murdered in New York in 1980, had the porcelain lavatory removed from Tittenhurst Park in Berkshire, southern England, where he lived from 1969 to 1971, and replaced with a new one.
The builders who took away the white and blue lavatory were told to "put some flowers in it or something," according to the auction catalog.
Builder John Hancock stored it in his shed for 40 years until he died recently and the lavatory was sent for sale, British media reports said.
The toilet was among Beatles memorabilia sold at auction as part of the Beatle week festival in Liverpool, the group's native city in northwest England. The pre-auction estimate was 750 to 1,000 pounds.
^LMAO bushy!
This thread is almost 2-1/2 years old and the OP hasn't posted in over 2 years. I'm gonna assume he found a band name by now and close this thread.
Sorry jcellini - I have no idea and have often wondered about this myself. Possibly the songbooks were created before the 100 song limit was put in place? Maybe you could email a songbook owner with greater than 100 tunes and ask if they have a workaround?
