Hi
I think a new title should be created for lena.... old doll maybe "Our Mum" something homely which reflects the warmth her posts generate on the forum.:)

UYK Right number of posts can't be the criteria for making a moderator quality should be the deciding factor.
and a question what's the difference between a Moderator and a Administrator
just wondered me being ignorant

Hi bonedaddy
Another good number your've done here.
The lyrics are what alot of people can identify with. I can see alot of thought went into them.
Well done

Hi bonedaddy
This is good and very original The chord progression is spot on. The Dm to A  gives the song something and I like it.
The lyrics are personal (as is the religion thing) but in my opinion they are right on the money.
All in all a Great first song.

Lena this follows on from your post on the song writing forum I thought it sort of slipped off topic a bit
and I didn’t want to bring down the gentle wrath of our Moderators. lol smile

There’s an saying that goes “Every person has a book in them all I can say Lena is you must have a library.
It’s a pleasure to read  your responses.
It’s funny in life some people leave lasting impressions while others just fade away.
Your circus man certainly did that for you.
I don’t really know much about Irelands politics but I know the R.C. church  had a big hand in holding up political change and so held back the rights of people especially women’s.
The right of women to have legal abortions was especially held back.
You being apart of getting some change must  have given you satisfying sense of achievement .
Lena sorry I asked you a question lol……No way.

I had it for Ants until I saw this film http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120587/
Then I couldn’t quite see them in the same light.
The thought that I might be squashing a comedy genius and a host of luvies. Sorta restrained me. lol
James proving again you make a good song out of  mostly anything.

Lena I'm jealous.....Words trip off your pen like the fall leaves on a windy Autumn day.
and that took me half a day to think up! lol
Ever thought about writing a poety book.

These guitar aces
Give me 50percent inspiration and 50percent desperation. Not necessarily in that order.
I pick up my guitar and think........Is this the same instrument lol

Ark

Hi doc
Now your part of the establishment (Oh and congratulations) and being one of the "many others":)
I think there are 3 ways of writing a song.
A
1. Lyrics
2. Chords and melody to fit lyrics with alterations if needed.

B
1. Have a chord progression and melody in mind.
2. Subject and lyrics to follow when ever

C
1. Have both chords and melody and lyrics roughly there.
2  Work on both altering where needed.

C is needed for both A and B.

Anyway that's my humble opinion

Hi Des
The boy quit chordie in a huff a while ago.
Who knows he maybe back on under another id.....I don't think so  though. He was shall we say a little "different" smile

The saying
If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it  was popularized by politician Bert Lance in December 1976, referring to the machine of the federal government in America.

Hi
Hard to choose but... Crossroads by the Cream...Eric Clapton's guitar solo after all these years still blows me away.
Maybe the title should read "Songs"

Hi Roger
Great song. Excellent recording.
Read alot of sci- fi fantasy over the years. Mainly the so called classics. Asimov, Arthur C. Clarke, Philip K. Dick, Robert Heinlein to name a few.
Liked the Dune series by Frank Herbert.

Hi

Have been reading all my life never been without a book .
Generally I will read any book that takes my fancy. Books made into films are usually a good read.
Good film usually equates to a better book.
Some that stick in my mind…

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest…...Ken Kesey
To kill a Mocking Bird…….Harper Lee
Cider House Rules……. John Irving
Band of Brothers………Stephen Ambrose
Caine Mutiny………Herman Wouk.
The list could go on.
Just finished Blackhawk Down  Mark Bowden.

Hi Roger
I was on myspace saw friends of chordie on line had a look and the page certainly stands out now.
I think it looks fine. Considering the amount of templates out there choosing was always going to be hard.
"The Irish lady" should be pleased.:)
