Fred Neill wrote it- don't know that he ever recorded it, though.

Harry Nillson recorded it and the beautiful south covered it. Both excellent as each other I think

also the other harry song, Cant live without you, dreadfully covered by some woman singer.
harry is better on that one

Hi Ken, remember Clive Burr of Iron Maiden - He was pretty good too cool

yeah daddy, he was very good too but I think Nicko has the edge on him.
I Listened to a bit of maiden yesterday for the first time in a while ( apart from a few songs on rock radio) I would have to put Nicko in my top 5.

And as for primus' drummer/drummers, yep all their drumming sounds very good, especially trying to get a beat to play along with those crazy superb bass lines

Hi and welcome to chordie.

I do not play the fiddle but my wife does and the only advice I could give is find a workshops that do fiddle.
I dont know where you are from but I do know in Scotland ye get these worskshops everywhere for beginners to advance players.

Other than that look up a local directory for lessons. To get classically trained will cost abit. My wife was paying £12 for half an hour a week, but learned alot and got a lot to keep practicing in the house.
You will be taught the scales first and bowing techniques.

Sorry, thats all I know but I hope it is of some help

Chapter two so far…….

So I'm at the pub with the sound of music and Julie Andrews singing all along the watchtower, and the hills are alive with spicy potted meat sandwich spread.
Everyone that heard laughed, even Rudolph the red nosed kangaroo couldn’t resist laughing.
The puffin sat on the roof anticipating which slates to re-new. A zebra hoved into view with a slate stuck in his mouth, with teeth grinning like a Cheshire cheese unlike ….. Where are you going? Said cheeseman, in a voice like soft tones a Scottish accent!
I’m off for some haggis but where is my gun? In your pink fluffy sporran. There by your Smurf knapsack containing your inflatable bicycle helmet and you toe nail clippings. But haggis season is over! So I’ll shoot a sheep. Aunt Martha’s sheep?
No! Sharie Lewis’ lamb chops. Not much meat on those, even less on me. Enough for the purdy Puffin and a gaggle of geese and admin Roger’s little cats. Don’t forget his pink guitar outfit full of roasted dead ants. And then a thought occurred, Roger guppy could give lessons to people without fingers who are called fish people. A fish called wanda “ Guppy† smart looking as a puppy. He thought Guppy and puppy this smells fishy he said.
His head on my shoulder

Although I think Bob Dylan is a fantastic songwriter and also I tihnk he has a excellent unique singing voice, I have to say i tihn kall his songs that other bands cover are better than his versions.

red hot chili peppers with  Subterranean homesick blues.
the byrds with tamborine man
Clapton and guns n roses with knocking on heavens door
like a rolling stone with rolling stones
quinn the eskimo with manfred mann
and all along the watchtower by jimmy

probably a lot more but thats all I can think of right now

also,
red hot chili peppers doing cross town traffic better than jimmy
live and let die with guns and roses better than wings.
seasons in the sun by terry jacks is better with me first and the gimme gimmes

I am sure everyone knows or most know that yawning is contagious.
you see someone yawn and you end up yawning too. I am not too sure why but you try this with a baby and it doesnt work, why not?
I tried this on my son when he was about 2 years old when he would not go to sleep. I thought I would yawn and yawn and yawn, BIG YAWNS, the kind that comes from the deepest part of your lung sort of yawn YAAAAAAWWWWWWWNNNNNNNn, that kind!!
nope, still nothing, he looked but no yawns. Also tried it a few years later with my daughter when she was 2/3. Nothing!!

I know it did happen when they were about 5 years old, so why is it if yawning is contagious that babies are exempt from catching onto this?

I have yawned 2 times while typing this.
How many more have yawned or felt like yawning or feel a yawn just about to come on now?

If not, when you close this window you will yawn within 5 minutes probably

Parenting eh?

Well like bonedaddy says, I think the most important thing is talk. It is good to talk and from a young age.

Always make time for them, even when you are having so much fun typing on forums on the computer. Learn to look away from the screen and say "what do you want now"? lol when they tell you, you get off the seat and do as they want, unless it is totally unreasonable.

certainly does!!
the first drummer ( as far as I know) to play a drum kit while spinning upside down with his kit, going round and round and still drumming.
and apart from that, he is a great drummer.

one I dont think anyone has mantioned and I have no idea why I missed him out or why anyone esle has.
Nicko McBrain from iron maiden, his drumming techniques are sometimes so complexed yet keeping time and steady rythum all the time.
He must be in my top 3 or 5 drummers of all time. anyone who has seen him live would or should agree.
Genius!!!

if my advice was wrong then fair enough, but it is not wrong. You may think it is wrong but there is no right or wrong so that makes me not wrong and makes you wrong for telling someone to ignore other advie other than yours.

I will not edit your post since it is quite witty. Lets others see.

I have read a little on this and it seems it is applying to the USA. IF the website is running from there then they are closing them, Ultimate guitar is based in russia and refuse to close their site and the U.S lawyers cannot stop them (or that is what I am understanding of it)

Choride is not run from america so if like other sites that are outside the U.S then Chordie should not be getting forced to close.
