hi nmontgomery welcome to chordie,i sure hope things turn out right for you now you've got out of your situation,as for the song ,its a humbling story and i'd use chords[c][f][g] ,three easy basic chords :
                       [c]he [f]left a handprint [c]on her face,
                       her[f]heart broken[c]in the night,
                       she'll[f]swear he did'nt[c]mean to,
                       she[f]messed up,he was[c]right,
[f]she should have never[c] crossed him,
                       its[g] really not his[c] fault,
he;ll[f] cry and say he's[c] sorry,
                       when the[g] alcohol wears [c]off.

i hope this helps,take care....stay cool

whistling cowboy by robert bonsall
                            17/09/08

the chorus is whistled as you strum,"down up down twice before changing chords"with a bounce.

chorus
[c]/// /// [f]/// /// [c]/// /// [g]/// ///,

[c]/// /// [f]/// /// [c]/// /// [g]/// ///.

1/[c]I am a whistling [f]cow-boy,
I[c] whistle a merry[g] tune,
I[c] am a whistling [f]cow-boy,
I'[c] whistling [g]along all[c] day.

chorus
[c]/// /// [f]/// /// [c]/// /// [g]/// ///,

[c]/// /// [f]/// /// [c]/// /// [g]/// ///.

2/[c]whistle a tune,[f]make a song,
[c]while your riding [g]a-long,
[c]whistling till your[f] supper,
[c]then whistle a[g] camp fire [c]song.

chorus
[c]/// /// [f]/// /// [c]/// /// [g]/// ///,

[c]/// /// [f]/// /// [c]/// /// [g]/// ///.

3/[c]I'm just a whistling[f] cow-boy,
[c]whistling all day[g] long,
[c]just whistling a cow-boy[f] song,
to[c] pass the [g]day a-[c]long.

chorus
[c]/// /// [f]/// /// [c]/// /// [g]/// ///,

[c]/// /// [f]/// /// [c]/// /// [g]/// ///.

[/song]

Babies Anewby Robert Bonsall 17/09/08

[C]Babies born,a [F]creation of you,

A [C]new world around them,[G]comes into veiw,

The [C]look on their faces,be[F]wilders too,

A [G]new life has come ,into this[C] world.

.

[C]They copy your smiles, they[F] make you laugh,

Little[C] fingers and toes,[G]warm as toast,

[C]Bonding with parents,[F]Is a must,

[G]Making them safe,gives a feeling of[C] trust.

.

[C]Watch them grow[F] day by day,

The[C] things they learn, from[G] mum and dad,

[C]Playing games ,to[F] keep them amused,

[G]Teaching them whats right and [C]wrong.

.

[C]They learn something new[F] every day of their lives,

[C]See their first steps,[G]their first words with pride,

[C]Watching as they [F]grow to adults,

The [G]circle of life,that they[C] cre-ate.
