I have ressurected this thread from 5 years ago as I have re-recorded the song for YouTube:

If you left click on the chord grid of a chord it will show you the different fingerings for the chord.

Right click on your Facebook photo, select properties and copy the url: i.e. https://fbcdn-sphotos-b-a.akamaihd.net/ … 3739_n.jpg

Surround that with img and /img in square brackets and hey presto...

Hi Jim,

Two things:

First the link should finish with .jpg otherwise is is not a link for a picture.

Second the final thing should be /img in square brackets.

I have a Rock Choir gig tonight but, with the time difference, I should be back in time to join you guys.

I usually leave a nylon string guitar tuned up two steps (F#) overnight. This takes most of the stretch out of them.

Christmas 1958. My brother Colin (right) and I with our very first guitars. Plastic with 4 strings with a picture and plastic signature of Elvis.

Nice to see you out and about again Lieven.

Roger

I have reported the fact that the alternative instrument cannot be saved to Per and he will look into it as soon as possible.

I assume you mean the Nashville numbering system and I am afraid that the answer is no. Chordie is a search engine that looks for chords.

If either you or your fellow musicians have any understanding of theory it is fairly easy to convert. This Wikipedia article may help: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nashville_number_system

Here is another site explaining the system: http://guitarthinker.com/nashville-number-system/

Roger

Batteries normally last at least 6 months, so if you are not leaving a guitar lead plugged in, there must be a fault with the pre-amp draining the battery. If this is the case then it needs taking back under the warranty.

OK well I guess you need help from the 'mighty admin'!!

Please e-mail Per at admin@chordie.com. Explain, in detail, your problem and also advise him of your operating system and web browser.

It works OK for me so let me ask the obvious question. Are you sure you have coloured inks in your printer?

Are you directed to Chordie's home page when you log out? You say 'YOUR' home page and that I do not understand.

Assuming that you are being directed to Chordie's home page are you able to log out from the logout tag under your username at the top of the page?

You must have 100 songs in your book for it to be marked 'MAXED OUT'. Either delete some songs or start a new book.

This bug is now fixed and you are now able to change your default setting to ukulele.

Roger

If you go into 'Resources' at the bottom of the list is 'Change settings (instrument/tuning)'. Click on here and you can chose your instrument so that the correct chords are shown.

Also chord change can now be saved.

There is no bug here as logging out works fine for me.

Try clearing all cookies next time you switch your PC on before you open Chordie. Then log on to Chordie and see if you can then log out.

If this does not work please repost.

I have lost thumb and finger nails many times and all have grown back. It depends where it is damaged as to how quick it comes off, the last one was removed by a nurse at the local health centre as when it was only partially attached. None have grown back deformed, that only happens if you damage the nail root.

Roger

This is bad. Is there a specialist or a doctor that could diagnose this health condition? I can't think of anyone that specializes in finger nails.

The nails that I have lost have all been through injury, hitting with hammers and other instruments, allowing car jacks to collapse with fingers in a vunerable position and the last one, slamming a car door on my finger, etc. but thanks for your concern.

I have been a clumsy person.

I am afraid that I disagree with Jim (in the nicest possible way, of course).

Normal guitar tuning is to E and, in my opinion, if a 12er is built that will not stand the stress of tuning to standard tuning then it is designed incorrectly and is only fit for the rubbish skip.

I have had 12er's off ond on for the past 40 years and my current baby is a 70's, Italian made, Melody; my previous one was a new, made in China, Channel guitar and both have only known standard E tuning with no adverse affects.

Modern strings are available in lighter gauges than they were in my early playing days so I believe that there is no problem using standard tuning.
