Anyone know of this name?

I have an album but it is locked away just now as I have no turntable

I am Sure the name is John Hiesam's colleseum, or something very similar.
I think the album I have is from the early 70's but I could be wrong.

I was trying to see if i could get the cd online, but i need to know exactly what it is called, i dont even know if this is the band name or the album name, lol

but  ido know there is a fantastic version of the classical piece of music " Bolero".
It is performed with drums, electric guitar and bass and maybe synths too.

any help would be grateful

Ok,
that was not bad at all. superb in fact!!

Just for dave lee roth i think i will have to go see them.

Only one thing. during that 5 minutes, they could have done another song and he could have showed off in solos in the songs.

I dont like seeing guitarists doing solos like this on stage with no other instruments mostly.
But I do like a good drum solo. but 2 minutes is long enough, anylonger it is the band filling in time so they can do less songs

I tihnk the numbers thing might be when you see a number 3 next to the chord chart? this signifies that the chord you see starts on the 3rd fret.
It is instead of showing lots of frets it lets you know where the fingers are nearest the 1st fret. So if it shows 7 it starts on the 7th fret. It saves showing about 10 frets for one chord.

Hope that makes sense.

I have answered this to a different topic in another section ,lol

But my first was

AC/DC    HIghway  To Hell

my first 7" record was  a song called stars on 45, or maybe that was the band? it was a medely of abba songs. I was 7 or 8 I tihnk.

my first 12" single was big country Wonderland.

And my first CD was Tesla " 5 man acoustical jam"

in my opinion it was Bon Scott that did it for me

But Johnson's voice and agression in his singing is superb.
I love both.

Highway to hell was my first ever album when i was 10 or 11 years old, my mum went mental.

The songs on back in black were wrote in memory for Bon Scott, he never sang on any of the songs.

My favourite albums from AC DC are in no particular order

Dirty deeds
Highway to hell
Powerage
If you want blood
Back in black
for those about to rock

Hi and welcome to the forum

Like russel says, it sounds like your action may need lowered.
I have as probably every guitar player has, wee hard pads at the finger tips.
I find when I stop playing regularly ( less than ten minutes per day) my fingers soften up and when i got to play for over an hour they tend to hurt a little.

Maybe try using extra light gauge string? as well as seeing about the action

I find it easier to play it the way Alvee says, just like D# and holding the 5th fret on the G string

Or just do a D# and just play the three strings

I seen a guy in Glasgow busking with the same 4 songs.
Most people dont notice as they do not hang around enough to hear.
After he does 4 songs he takes abreak, that makes any lingerers go away.

I only know this coz I heard him play "yesterday" and " wish you were here" twice within the hour. I walked back down the street and stopped again, after he played wish you were here and stopped I asked him why. He said he only knew 4 songs that he thought he was good enough to do. and told me the rest about how no one really notices.

I am thinking if you done this every week in the same place people would notice, But I thin kit is ok if you get away with it. Normally people just chuck money in the case without even listening, others are usually "paying" for one song

With respect.
Bootlegger.

Bootlegger, is that what they call the american dream? Ye can be whatever you want to be most places in the world with determination but like in the U.S as wit hthe etrst of the place on the planet it is lack of determination that dont get people where they want to be.
As for your politicians, not just there but everywhere, they will say what you want to hear.
There is not much difference with America and the UK apart from currency and accents and a fw other beliefs.

I tihnk the earth is a good place to live, no matter where you are. It all depends who is in charge.

THE END

Well folk, thanks for taking part, that was a story and a half.

the new story will start soon.
But next time it is only names of songs that will make up the story.
it will be a lot harder than this one
i.e

"have I told you lately that I love you"

a reply could be

only on a "sunday morning"

So you can have extra words in as long as a name of a song is in the reply. But keeping the replies as short as possible
and next time I will delete without wanig or explanation any rogue posts. i.e no communicating thru the story thread.

So hopefully I will remember to start ths tomorrow, let you all get over this great epic story lol

Thanks All, I will go through all this and type it out when i have time

Ken
