I'm in NY State, about 5 hours from NYC... so I can't help you out much there, but I hope you have a fun time in the US and stay safe in the Big Apple!  smile

Yup, Worcester is supposed to get it worse than us.  I think we're only looking at a foot of snow.  Never fear though, I've got coal to keep warm, guitar strings and guitars a plenty, and there some Jack Daniels in the freezer.  smile  We're good!  LOL!

picks for you, picks for her... when she runs out, she needs to go buy her own.

I chased after a teenager who didn't want to kiss the bride (stupid drunk bride that I was), and successfully ran my foot directly into a tent post (big ole tents in the back yard at our wedding).  Broke my toe.  Couldn't dance or ride horses on our honeymoon.  To this day, the darn toe still likes to go numb when it gets a lil cold.  Good thing there were other things to do on our honeymoon that didn't require toes wink yikes

Don't let him fool ya, they are one in the same.  wink  hee hee

Agree with Zurf, I don't think people hook anything but the nasty plumbing to septics in NY (and flush microbes down the toilet occasionally to help with the dirty deed of breakdown)... of course, they do generally need to be dredged every so many years.  Does this contraption you use prevent that issue?  Thankfully, I live in a hamlet and have water and sewer taxes to pay instead of a well and septic, although there was a time my house was connected to both.  Due to that, my back yard still has some "warm spots" as I don't think the people that disconnected everything did it properly.  We actually filled the old well in once we were here and it did help a bit.  I'm waiting for my back yard to collapse at some point and we'll find out where the septic tank actually is.

Absolutely Randy!  The kids don't like the dumplings as much as the biscuits though.

THANK YOU RICK!  And I too am very sorry that you haven't gotten more thanks for your service to our country.  My Dad and Uncle served during Nam.  My Dad didn't go anywhere as my grandparents pulled the "only one to carry on the family name" clause.  My uncle is a much different story, not in good shape from what he did and witnessed still today.  NO ONE should take chances with their own life, by serving even if they never leave the states, and NOT get a THANK YOU from the rest of us yahoos who are incapable or unwilling to serve.  THANK YOU, from the bottom of my heart.

Oh no no... Thing one and two are SUPER CUTE!  From Dr. Suess!

I'm NOT a songwriter... but I have written a few songs, they all have a lot of personal feeling.  What happens to me is I get a moment of madness and just write out two sheets of paper of thoughts that seem to center around one thing, which is always a strong feeling I'm having at the moment.  Then, a tune gets stuck in my head somehow.  Then I try to make the tune fit the words.  Then I change the words to sound like a song and have purpose.  One song a year and BTW... I haven't written on this year (well... no... I started my jumble of thoughts the other day actually).  I think if I tried more often than once a year when I have a moment of madness, I'd throw everything else away.

Well, neither of our Jeff's have a special name.  I just noticed that.  I'd like to see you guys as "Thing one" and "Thing Two" ... but then someone would have to choose to be two, and no one wants to be second.

Thank you Phil!  Dino, I respect your feelings and opinion.  TwangTown, thank you also for your viewpoint from NZ.

I enjoy eating venison... but see no use in weapons that aren't meant to hunt with, except perhaps for a pistol properly licensed and said licencee properly background checked.  Beyond that, I don't understand the whole right to be a well armed militia (IMHO, that's what the police and military is for... although I've been blasted for my opinion on that matter).

Don't want to debate, just stating my opinion as Dino did.

One thing I know we can all agree on, senseless killings are sad and terrible and shouldn't be happening.  Bless their families.

Whoo Hoooo!  For future reference, and for anyone that still needs help...

ie 7/8:  http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/wind … rnet-files

ie 9:  http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/wind … Explorer-9

IE 9 has other options as well, which this link doesn't go into, and I think it'd personally do it a different way if IE is your GO TO browser... but basically the cache is the Temporary Files.

Glad you got it worked out though Russell!!!

Hey Russell!  What browser are you using?  Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Chrome??  I can walk you through fixing that little hiccup!  smile

Edit to add:  And is the machine in question running the new windows 8 or 7?

NUI - Do as Zurf suggested and clear your cache.  It's been fixed and working for all of us for a few days now.  It's likely the cache is the issue.  Visiting www.chordie.com or www.chordie.com/forum should work for you, if it isn't, then it's likely an issue on your end.  I'm sorry to hear that the issues are so troublesome for you.  I know what it's like when I can't get my daily dose of chordie!  I need it, like I need my caffeine and nicotine!  wink

I'm laughing here myself, although it could be that "he" was visiting from a different source than his computer in which case Zurf's info could be useful.

88 - (I'm nicknaming you above and beyond your username DaleJrNut... as happens often around here) - I am so sorry to hear about your Brother in law's home.  Very sad.  Since the guitar wasn't harmed, I hope that the damage to the house wasn't too terrible as well.  This post will still be here when you're ready for it.  Positive thoughts for your family!

I can read it!  But, I can't play it on guitar.  I haven't really honestly learned where all the notes are... I just strum chords without knowing really what I'm doing.  I could hammer the melody out on the keyboard tho!  wink
