Yes, Gray One, I do and thanks for your comment today and the idea it gave me 2 nights ago. I thought to myself, Graham, you've done it this time, and inside of a couple of hours I had it done.

As I told Mazzy, I haven't done that in years, so I owe you both a great big THANK YOU! smile

Sorry, of course you're right, my friend. I meant the melody which rhymes like a couplet. I guess I could check the song list and see what's there, right, BGD?

Thanks

AA,,BB, CC = couplets, according to the rhyming dictionary

Since I don't trust my voice (had to stop voice lessons) is there a site I can go to that features chord progression suggestions for tunes written in couplets?

Thanks

Hey Y'all

Just a quick note to let everyone know my writing isn't meant to hurt anyone, but sometimes, due to my dementia I do not always realize what I've done. If that ever happens, please write me a note and I'll be sure to send a note to the person (s) concerned and apologize personally. Y'all mean a lot to me and that's everyone not just some of you.

Thanks

Hi, Roger

Out of curiosity, I looked up "Crisp Sandwiches" and found what's included in the recipe. Here, as Amy probably told you, we eat the crisps on the side. We're going to try your recipe tonight, however. For dessert it's Cinnamon Graham Crackers with ice cream. Yum!

97 views and only one comment? Oof! Come on, y'all can do better than that. Crtique, critique and critique friends and neighbors! It's only that way that I'll get better.

Yeah, I know it's a bit sophomoric, but it also happens to be a  true story. smile

I sat here and cackled until I woke the lovely Dondra up. I blamed it on you, of course, Roger! smile smile smile smile

Hilarious! You get an A+ for that one, my friend!

Bill,  No apology needed , but thanks . I can't wait to hear what you'll find in your investigation. Sometimes in your songs you will need to stray somewhat from the truth. Sometimes you need to make up the whole thing if you can't find the true story you are looking for. Either way the title is Killer. My friend told me once " Do you think Johnny Cash really shot a man in Reno". Have fun with this.

Thanks, Joe!

Sometime in the next week or so, we're making a trip to visit ol' one-oh-three, the steamer which was involved in the wreck. Your support here means a lot to me, Joe. Everyone's does, as "my mind takes to wanderin' every now and then."

Roger!!!!! You're back!!!!!! It's good to see you riding shotgun here again. Yeah, I know you've only been gone a couple of days, but much of the rest of the regular gang was gone as well. Thanks for the recommendation, I sure did find a good one, but it needs a train trestsle colllapse now. Yeah, I know: Can't have it all, Bill, right?

Thank you, Sir!

"Number one is laugh. You should laugh every day. Number two is think. You should spend some time in thought. And number three is, you should have your emotions moved to tears, could be happiness or joy. But think about it. If you laugh, you think, and you cry, that's a full day. That's a heck of a day. You do that seven days a week, you're going to have something special."

TIG, dear friend, you just brought me to number three. I am so happy to know you!

Bill, Very interesting . I love this story line. The truth may be way more interesting than what you could make up. Add in the mystery of the money and you have a great song in the works. One of my best songs turned out to be based in truths I didn't know until after it was written and played for one of the people in the song. Enjoy the search for the truth about the money. Even if you don't find any wrong doing I think you are going to have fun investigating.
Keep us posted on your investigation and I can't wait to hear the song.

   Joe

Joe I apologize severely for having missed this post!  Please forgive me, as I try to answer everyone who writes me, in e-mails or here. Maybe I was just so excited about this latest news I forgot to recheck.

Thanks, Sir

Okay........ next song please! What do you think this is? We're busy turning out the new Ukulele Beatles here (with Brian's blessings to write that) and we need more material for Brian to work with "Brian's Angels".

Mach' Schau!!!!!

Of course I am only joking with y'all, but you have all of you charmed my heart (and my wife's) and I can't wait to hear you all together.

Okay, back to the train......

For some reason I'm unable to turn loose of "poetic license" to continue writing this song, so now we're going to take a "Road (train) Trip to Atlanta and find the actual locomotive that made that haul. I am so excited I can hardly keep from farting!

I spoke to a young man today who's just as excited about helping me as I am about writing the song and that just rocks my ears off!

Stay tuned! Working.......working.......working..........

Dino,

I will try, okay, but I'm better at writing them than I am at singing them. I'm sure you understand, dear friend.

If and when you have an idea and you bring it to fruition, it makes you artistic. This "ic" is an unfortunate way of saying you come close to being an artist, in my opinion.

There are many synonyms for artist or artisttry, but when and if you are an artist, unfortunately lies in the minds of others.

For instance, I like this guy's artistry and philosophy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LzHmunZxJeM

See how simple it all is? Hey, Occam! Gimme back my razor!!!!!!

Bill

Okay, I'm sure all of you have noticed that many products are now featuring songs written by independent musicians? I don't have an example, but you've all heard them, I am sure.

Well, why don't y'all do that??? You don't even have to name the product.

Take my song "Broken Cover", for instance. It's about Young Love, right, here it is (scroll down for complete version): http://www.chordie.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=28180

Okay? Did you read it? Now what product is aimed at "Young Love"? ----- Pimple Cream is one, isn't that right? What else? So write some short songs aimed at commercials. I know at least 100% of my friends here can do this.

Just an idea. Hope someone can use it and I hope also I haven't broken any Chordie rules by posting this.

In honor of my 910th. (Not an ongoing post-party, I promise, mods/admin)

My favorite group: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vXEle5Wl94E

Thanks!

Bill

These are to be followed by a rim-shot, cymbal crash, so be sure to alert your drummer!

"When I was young, we were so poor my Mom couldn't afford even Hamburger Helper. We had to buy Helper Helper."

"When I was young our house was so small, that if you wanted to come into my room, you had to go to bed!"

"Be generous tonight (if you pass the hat), because our drummer is so old and poor he can only afford to buy foods which end in "A-Roni".

It seems I forgot the smilies on this one. I apologize whole-heartedly, Mazzy! Of course I didn't think you were offended! However, I did say that once to one lady as she stepped off stage, and got cold-stared for my trouble.

I LOVE your songs, my friend and I apologize if I made you wonder.
