After reading your reply I have spent some time experimenting with this but I am unable to produce the chord grid you want... {define: G 0 x x 0 0 0 x} should work, I misread the zero fret as the e string when I read your post earlier which threw all the notes I mentioned out ).
Sorry I am unable to assist; maybe someone who uses this formatting more often than I can throw some light on the matter.
Roger
Hi there,
G, B and D are the notes required for a G chord so the e, G, D and A that you are trying to use do not make a G chord. However I do not think that the programming knows that but it does not seem to like all the x's.#

Happy NGD, but where are the piccies??
Do you know that it is illegal to buy a new guitar and not put up photos? Barack Obama has assured me that this is so.
Roger.
Clicking on the larger 'A' will increase the print size, the box controls where the grids (chords) are printed:

Oooops. Sorry LouM, I misread this and thought that you were an infrequent user of Chordie but on re-reading I realise you meant that the current problems were preventing you from gaining access as much as you wanted.
Please accept my apologies for my rather rude comment earlier.

If you read the thread next to this one and look at: http://www.chordie.com/forum/viewtopic. … 52#p135952 you will see that a fix and an explanation has already been offered. If you read through to last post you will be better informed.
Roger
P.S. If, after putting up a public message, you cannot be bothered see if there is a reply, I cannot be bothered to e-mail you privately.
Per is confident that he has got to the source of the problem and sorted it so (fingers crossed) we should be OK now. Thank you for your patience.
Quotelawrence. If I read your post correct and you read the earlier posts in this thread you will see an explanation from Zurf on how to refresh the screen if an error message keep recurring.

Wrong I'm afraid. The 'bolt' is the truss rod adjustment and is ONLY for ensuring that the fretboard is straight and not curved. Any buzz is corrected by bridge, nut or fret adjustment. A competent luthier is best if you are not sure what you are doing.

Hi Copper,
This has been discussed in the 'Chat' section. Here is the message that I think will help you: http://www.chordie.com/forum/viewtopic. … 52#p135952

Apparently there is an elusive bug that only seems to manifest itself under heavy traffic. Per is working hard to find and exterminate the little blighter, please be patient.
With Windows, the refresh button (the one with the two curved green arrows) is a good friend at the moment .

Am I going crazy?
I swear that yesterday there was a message after Phill's asking for the location of the 'Post new topic' button!!!
Roger
To ask your own question is very easy. Choose the section that your question relates to and open it. At the top left of the page is written "Post new topic" (see below). Click on this, enter the Subject of your query and in the Message, the details of your question.
Please do not hijack another Member's post by adding your own question to their's; unless your query is relevent to the original posters message.

A lot of work but well worth it for a great song and a professional video. Nice one Russ.

No problem!

I'm just glad we all have different tastes
I stand corrected.
Roger
By the way I agree with you about rap. I am sure it should be spelt with a capital 'C'
Fire art wrote:The Beatles make me want to puke well may be not but I will turn off the radio so I Don't. Have to hear them luv pink floyd
You are obviously no child of the 60's . One had to live the experience of 'Beatlemania' to really appreciate their innovative music talents.
Roger
I'll second Amy's comment. THANK YOU!
Roger
Hi Burndog and welcome to Chordie,
Unless you nip into the 'Resources' and go into the last listing 'Change settings (instrument/tuning)' to change your instrument to uke, Chordie will assume that you play guitar and give you guitar chords.
Like most women you have to explain thngs carefully to her or she does not understand
Roger
(waiting for the backlash from the fairer sex)
Sadly my sight reading is too slow to be able to play from the score sheet, but I much prefer to listen to you playing it than having to work it out myself . I guess that makes me just plain lazy .
Roger
I remember this 1962 song very well (showing my age I know) but here are the only lyrics and chords I could find (not Nashville I'm afraid): http://rock.totaltabs.com/tablature/Car … ord_57774/

Hi Guys,
The message that I got was:
An error was encountered
Error: Unable to connect to MySQL and select database. MySQL reported: Can't create a new thread (errno 12); if you are not out of available memory, you can consult the manual for a possible OS-dependent bug.
If you regularly come accross this, or any other message, stopping you accessing Chordie, please send an e-mail to Per at admin@chordie.com and report it to him.
Thanks,
Roger
Not your problem but a server glitch. I saw it earlier and I contacted Per, who quickly sorted it out.
Roger
Sounds like a very sensible recovery treatment to me.

My acoustic every 4 to 6 weeks (it gets most use), my electric 6 to 8 weeks, my classical 6 months or so.
Roger
Well Amy I was 65 last birthday and that is enough so I have decided, this year I will be 64, next year 63, and so on.
