Yeah, as Topdown said it was with Georgetown, got kinda ugly, but they've made friends now and Georgetown will continue it's tour. If Duke should get into a fight, I'll be forced to call in Seal Team 6.

Thanks guys I really appreciate it very much. Nela the check is in the mail as they say. And yes, it's football season, but still not expecting much from my 49ers, but Duke is playing basketball in China, doing great, so at least I have that going for me. Sorry I haven't checked in much lately, sometimes life just gets in the way though, but hopefully I'll be able to start posting again soon, thanks again everybody.

I first saw John Prine back in 1976 in Galax Virginia, I've been a fan ever since then, just great simple music from a great song-weiter.

I'm sorry to hear of your friends passing, I to know that feeling. Over the course of last yr between my family and my wifes family we lost 8 different members, of our families in that calendar year of 2010, 8 different people! I've lost one other friend this year.  As we age I suppose we understand why or how this happens more so than younger people, but it makes it no less painful. It's great the two of you grew up together and had that time with each other. Cherish it, remember the good times you had, the things you laughed about, the mischievous things you did together as kids. The talks you had and when you needed each others shoulder to lean on. Over time the pain lessens but never quite goes away. My condolences to you and his family my Friend.

Great story Zurf, some of the nicest people "complete strangers" I've ever met was while camping. There just seem to be something about them.

Congrats on 28 yrs, quite the accomplishment in this day and age. Here's hoping you have many more years to celebrate and enjoy, nothing like a great Wife.

Note to Dirty Ed...I'm thinking of trying that one on my Wife, wish me Luck.

1977, Led Zeppelin played the first of six sold out nights at Madison Square Garden, in New York City.

1969, Bob Dylan and Joni Mitchell both appeared on the first ABC TV Johnny Cash Show from Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.

Mine was given to me by my son, because of our favorite Basketball team, Cameronkl7 after Cameron Indoor Staduim where Duke plays it's home games, the  KL7 had to be added in the end, the KL are my real initials.

My earliest memories of live music was when I was about 6 or 7 yrs old. My Dad would take me to this little store that was just a few miles from home where he traded,The guy who owned the store played a mandolin. Sometimes his friends would be there, a couple guitar pickers, a fiddle, banjo and someone was always singing, all this going on around an old pot bellied stove in the winter time. Thats what hooked me in music.

Thats a great story Wayne, it's a great way to meet new friends and connect with music, your so lucky to have that. My Dad and his friend who owned that store are both gone now along with the store itself, but to this day his son and I are still friends, and when we see each other we have to talk about those days "Back When" Thanks for the story Wayne, I guess it just got me to reminiscing when you mention Antique Store. I suppose even some memories can be cherished antique's.

We've all had our days believe me. Hopefully as she's learning to drive this will serve to make her thank how quick and dangerous it is and will make her a better driver one day than she might have been otherwise. Hope your wrist is better soon so you can get back to playing.

Well I know nothing about his impersonality, and didn't realize he wasn't holding his guitar until he finished, but there's no denying he can play it, regardless, however I did detect a hint of "Yea I can Play and I know it" from him

Hello Gabby, Welcome aboard. I think it's great when young people find a passion for something, if you stick with playing and learning it will become one of the most rewarding things in your life. While your putting time in with your music and your friends are doing whatever they do, the day is gonna come when they look back and wish they had put that same time in. Good Luck to you in your musical journey.
