I have 2 Duesenberg, the 49er and the starplayer (semi-hollow). In 1 year the price has doubled, but they are so great, even better (very SUBJECTIVE) than Gibson, am I alone with my duesenbergs?

Re: some pretty bad news (15 replies, posted in Chordie's Chat Corner)
Financially NO PROBLEM, insurance covers everything, with s* I mean that 300 days to play "decent" again is long, very long.
IS THERE A SOLUTION TO PLAY WITH 3 FINGERS (left hand, for chords) to improve other methods, like more fingerpicking, I have NO force = I CAN'T push with these 2 fingers on my chords.

Topic: some pretty bad news (15 replies, posted in Chordie's Chat Corner)
Surgery for nerve entrapment --> pinkie and ring finger, 30cm distance AND HERE IT COMES:
A nerve grows 1mm/day ==============> = 300 DAYS
300 days, maybe some guitar in 6-7 months, CATASTROPHE. Should I keep or sell my most expensives like a strat 1964 original? I am in deep s**, and my mind is spinning around, bad thoughts, frustration, no hope (it started in August 2009, and I played at least 3 hours a day).
WHAT would you do? IS THERE AN ALTERNATIVE like playing on a few strings.
HELP, I REALLY DON'T KNOW HOW TO PLAY because I play chords, NO fingerpicking. PLEASE.

Topic: THE DOC IS BACK (2 replies, posted in Poems)
As you all can see on your chordie's screen
I'm back, the doc, writing lyrics on caffeine
I'm tired and exhausted doing nothing in between
so after surgery and sitting on my latrine
Isn't it stupid, taking holidays because I'm tired
from doing nothing, still better than being fired.
my life is not yet expired, I want to be admired
writing letters, words, with a muse being inspired
words, letters, phrases strophes and a refrain
the day I'll play again, we'll drink champaign
some motivation, exercise, we'll meet again
like good brothers and sisters, not Abel and Cain.
So the doc will be back
and time will be a payback
on drums a macaque
on guitar, the doc, now still a wrack

Topic: BORN TO DIE (4 replies, posted in Poems)
Why seems life so strange and weird
the day you're born you start to die
It keeps me busy, I don't know why
Some of us die sooner, others have a beard
It's the "in-between" that matters most
The way you live, the way you choose
without a purpose you are so lost
a goal in your life, you won't loose
some of us get rich, and others poor
some of us are happy, others won't
it's all about the fact you do, or don't
that happiness is everywhere, behind a door
search for the key, and do it alone
most of us won't help they don't have a backbone
to give a hand, to help you on your trone
all for one, but never one for all
between your birth and the day you die
you're on your own, who will help you and why
we are so selfish, farmer, CEO and king
one fact is sure, you're born to die.

Re: Poems are not Songs (29 replies, posted in Songwriting)
POEMS: are poems.
SONGS are songs
BUT THEY ARE OFTEN USED TO ADD NOTES AND YOU HAVE A SONG, an example is BOB DYLAN.
Definitely not a poem is: "baby you can drive my car....beep beep love"

Re: Let's talk about strings . . . (9 replies, posted in Guitars and accessories)
I love women with strings.
IT IS REALLY DIFFICULT TO TELL WHICH STRING IS BETTER.
TEST: take a MARTIN guitar (or another brand), put Elixir, d'Addario, Martin, Gibson, even "special offer strings" and play: 1 GUITAR 5 different strings

This are E D chords, but the sequence: start in A and going high up your fretboard.
{st:the devil's play}
{t:rockdoc}
Chordpro error: This is not a valid artistname. You will have to specify an artistname in the form {st: Artistname} in the beginning of the code.

As you all know, my physical condition is bad. BUT: I noticed that when people see you walking with crouches, and they "feel" that you try at least to follow, and that if you don't hide yourself behind your condition, you get a lot of respect.
The "MAJOR TEST"was down under. I drove the car, I used my crouches every day and I participated almost every activity = people are so nice, helpful, and much more, like women, so the contact with people there, surprised me so much, they do respect you, and about women, they develop a kind of protection towards me.
I WAS AMAZED, and in 2010, I hope to go to Canada.

Topic: THE PATH TO SUCCESS (3 replies, posted in Bands and artists)
The "path" to success is a dark one. Who determine your ability? See the man who refused to give a contract to the Beatles.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO HAVE SUCCESS
- Some bands I've seen in Memphis and New Orleans were a lot better then their "colleagues with a contract"
- What are the steps to come from a zero to a hero.
- is YOUTUBE helpful?
- Translate selling 50.000 albums in success, enough to feed your families?
- I believe there is a lot of talent out there, but how can they show their talent?
a) in programs like Idol 2009 (and before)
b) X-factor?
DOES SOMEBODY OF YOU TASTE THE ROAD TO SUCCESS? session musician, member....
