I think so. If you are able to proceed, everything is OK.

I have just finished what I call "the advanced artist pages", and the beta-testing has now started.

Despite the cryptic name - this feature will revolutionize the way you all use Chordie.

Depending how the beta-testing goes, it could take from a couple of days to a couple of weeks before this is introduced to everybody.

I do however need beta-tester. No computer experience needed. You just need to give me feedback about what you think: Grammatical/spelling errors, error messages you are receiving, things that are difficult to understand etc. Reply to this message, or send an email to admin@chordie.com, and I will instantly give you access.

It is a great idea. If anyone has an idea about how to organize it, I can put up some prices.

One start would be that I add an extra category (last months additions). A jury could then pick the "best of the Month"-book. And we could vote for these later?

However I will need some volunteers here. I do not have time to organize this myself.

This list will change soon. There seem to be an error in the algorithm here. However there is a major change coming very soon. It will also replace all top100 lists.

I will fix this. Do as Upyerkilt told you, take a screenshot (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Screenshot). Send it - together with info about what browser you are using - to admin@chordie.com.

I havent tried your script. Could you provide me with a preview of the output? Is it very different from what you get when you click chopro?

I need more specific info to be able to debug this. Anyone with similar experiences?

Do you still get this error?

Cool idea. I have to think about it though.... I am not sure how this technically can be accomplished. The songs are stored with the posts today.

There will be a major change in how the songs are added - - very soon.

There will also be a major upgrade in how the site looks --  very soon.

I am not telling you what will happen..:) However I do need a few people for beta testing. You need to know how to edit songs and how to manage your songbook. Send me a mail where you refer to this post. Also give me the names of 1-2 artists that you play a lot.

It is hard to know exactly what ads are shown because the Google-ads are country specific.

Yes, by screenshot I mean, press "Prt Scr". Go into you email program and press ctrl-v. Then send the mail to admin@chordie.com.

I actually have a meeting with Google about the ads on Thursday, so it would be very useful to know about any annoying ads prior to that meeting.

There should not be any flashing ads at Chordie. It is explicitely blocked. However, it it does happen, take a screenshot and send it to admin@chordie.com

Good idea.

Unfortunately I have not stored "date added". I cant enable this feture until I have some data here. I will add the field, and in a few months I can enable the feature.

Ill look into the metronome thing, but I do really need a plugin here or something. Might be tricky to develop from scratch.

Do you notice any performance improvements after the server upgrade?

Thanks for the offer. I am not sure what info you need. Web browser is based on firefox, and user-agent string is:

Mozilla/5.0 (X11;U; Linux armv6l; en-GB; rv:1.9a6pre) Gecko/20071128 Firefox/3.0a1
Tablet browser 0.2.2 RX-34 + RX 44_2008SE_2.2007.50-2

Screen resolution is 800x480 pixels (including scrollbars), so ideally a display without adverts or clutter would be best; I am sure most people who use Chordie on portable devices, also use it a lot more on their desktop (like me), therefore I think it would be best to confine the ads to the standard website version. Pixel density is very high, which makes normal fonts appear very small and difficult to read; a larger default font would be best (min size 20?).

Could you send me a picture of what you are seeing when browsing Chordie? Please send it to admin@chordie.com

Songs on Chordie is automatically formatted. I will never intentionally remove any credits, and all songs have a link to the original source.

Some garbage lines do however need to be removed. There is a lot of newsgroup posts here, and they have long headers. Since this is done automatically, it might lead to lines before the first chord is deleted  - and accidentally any credits that is placed there.

Just notify me, and I will however of course add this manually (or improve the automatic formatting algorithm)

Now it is fixed in the chord chart as well. Thanks for reporting this bug.

Just tested with IE7, and it worked fine.

Could you give me more details? Are you logged in when you get the errors? Are you trying to access your private songbooks, or the public ones?

I have not seen the T-shirts yet, and cant tell you the quality. The US store is your safest bet...

I can make you such a list. However the main list is extremely large (12.000 names).

I do have a list of artists that are added to songbooks. It is used for computing mostpopular-lists. This list is 1600 names.

I have added the latter to http://www.chordie.com/list.txt

Tell me if you need the large list

As upyerkilt is mentioning, there has been very little spam lately because of the new registering system.

Reporting spam is also a lot more effective. Now I get all reports directly in my mail box, and can respond more quickly.

Please report any spam as soon as you see it..!

So, Ill wait a few weeks, and then decide if we need more moderators.

We had a couple of incidents where extreme/illegal porn images was embedded in posts. Link to porn sites are annoying, but you can choose not to click those links. However it is a lot worse when images just appear. I dont like to disable such features, but in this case it was just necessary.

I have removed the black t-shirts from the European site. I ordered one myself, and was not pleased with the quality. It did look like a sticker that had been glued to the T-shirt. It might be durable, but I did not like the look of it.

It seems like the US site is using a different technique for printing on black shirts.

It is a lot easier to print small quantities of white T-shirts.

I am printing a large set of black t-shirts in a few weeks. When you print 100+ another technique can be used, and the quality would be a lot better. These T-shirts are mainly being used for promotions, but I might open up for direct orders as well.
