Perhaps you know the guy better than me. For I'm only going by what I've seen on the forum since he's been posting.

Re: we know : MYSPACE & YOUTUBE. But what is the difference between them? (3 replies, posted in Chordie's Chat Corner)
Russell just did one on Myspace
Go to http://www.slide.com
Follow the instructions on the site. Choose the type of slide you want mines a collage then upload your pixs you want on there.
They say the code will automatically added to your myspace page but it didn't for me. So I copied it went onto Myspace and copied the code into the edit my band in the "Band members" section and it came up alright.
Hope it works ok

What is hard to get your around is the fact that all these sites are run on advertising.
Thinking about it I guess that is true of most of the internet and that includes Chordie ah the power of advertising don't you just love it.
Doc sign up as a band on Myspace and get some of you songs on there we would all like to hear them I'm sure.

Doc
This what myspace has to say about your question
"Warning - MySpace Music accounts are for MUSICIANS. Uploading songs you do not own is a violation of the artist's copyrights and against the law. If you upload songs you do not own, you account will be deleted."
Wether or not you "Own" the cover you do of a previously recorded song I'm not sure but I think you probally do.
There are a huge amount of covers on Utube and they are not removed so a maybe it's ok.

Hi Doc
Thanks that great idea.
Being English I have only been listening to English speaking speaking bands not really giving much thought to other languages.
I guess it's mostly true of most English speakers.
Isn't Utube great. Search and you will find.
This lady is new to me maybe your've heard of her Axell Red she sang with the Fixkes so I searched and well here's the link.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sS7wkRn5 … re=related
I think she good maybe she's big in France?
Anyway I'm going to keep searching and see what I can find.

Hi Doc
Is the band from Belgium? I liked the laid back simplicity of the song but not understanding the lyrics was a disadvantage.
The video was simple with probally a message there.

Re: I want help writing songs (8 replies, posted in Songwriting)
Hi nonetoxic
The foundation of any song is Chords. A progression of Chords overlayed with a melody. The melody can be sung and or picked out with the guitar or any instrument.
Lyrics can come last or first or not all.
Now I know this doesn't help you much but. If you get a chord progression you like the sound of just play around with melodies humming or singing along with the chord changes. You might have in mind some lyrics already so use them with the melodies you might try.
Some people find this process easy and rattle songs off nearly every day. Others struggle to get out one song a year. Others never do.
Hope this helps abit
Good luck
Ark
PS just seen you have just registered so Welcome to Chordie
