My faithful battle tank of a laptop has quit working well enough to multitask.  Took it in and they could not find anything wrong with it.  started reloading all my stuff,, and it started doing the same crap.  SO it is now going to be tested out at running with my RP250.   Maybe if I don't over task it I can still use it for that and surfing.

Now looking at desktops.something with a heavy processor and lots of speed and memory smile  I may go for the custom build from the local shop.  Wall-Mart has a bundle of part for a gaming puter but its only 60 bucks  less than the one from the local shop.  Needless to say, I wont be doing any recording lately.

This is when you say "Thanks self for buying the 2T external!"

March 2015. 6 and 7.  one week after MY BIRTHDAY!   Ill start my fund now,,, after the new bed, new computer, etc,,, But I gotta make it again! and this time I'm staying close! Don't want to miss so much of it!  Maybe a few of us can arrange a shared room since we are planning so early.

It might all stay in B I might throw one other bar chord in. then again I might go somewhere else with it if im not getting what is in my head for it.  I might have to change the drum loop.

I am working on hopefully a punkabilly or  psychobilly type of arrangement in B with a county beat @ 104 bpm
Also Thanks to Tony Hall for a quick one-liner that took me into this totally 180 direction from where I started.

She is the hero of her children’s eyes
When they fall, they don’t see her cry
She is the strong one
Kissing them and sending them back to play

She’s a mother,  a lover,  a warrior and a saint
All while drinking’, hitting' the pipe and huffing paint
Life can be cruel, life can be rough
She hides it well, but with no restraint

There is no shelter
The Rolling Stones do little to help her
She’s crying in her head
Thank god for the kids or she might be dead

She’s a mother, a lover, a warrior and a saint
All while drinking’, hitting' the pipe and huffing paint
Life can be cruel, life can be rough
she hides it well, but with no restraint

Her man can’t see it
He’s living on the edge of a knife
As long as she lays him
He hugs the kids and thinks its alright.

She’s a mother,  a lover,  a warrior and a saint
All while drinking’, hitting' the pipe and huffing paint
Life can be cruel, life can be rough
she hides it well, but with no restraint

She is the hero of her children’s eyes
When they fall , they don’t see her cry
She is the strong one
Kissing them and sending them back to play

THE REVEREND HORTON HEAT    This guys is sooooo great!  I got to meet him and talk one night. Jim is so cool (the rev) I was telling him about my son learning how to play the rumble by Link Wray.  He was stoked that  young kids were learning that ind of music.  Good interview clips in this also.

I dont know if you have them in the UK but Berhinger and Bugera ( same company different amp line) are very affordable and good quality.  they also have very good dynamic microphones that are not going to run as high as a SM 51. -PS check your mail for a PM from me.

That is just like my house,, first it was my daughter,, then my older boy for a little bit, and then my youngest,, he started riding with me at age 4 and by 7 we were all over Jacksonville beach and St. Augustine LOLOL

Carla has ridden about 1/2 mile once with me.

OK,  I have the last verse and I think it ties it all up.

STARScott Sailer / Jeff Gilpen 6-17-14

Verse 1

[G] Reaching for a dream

[Am] I’ve yet to achieve

[G] I’ve only played in garage bands

[Am] Yet I still have your hand [B] (X244XX) [A] (XO222X) [B] [Am]

Verse 2

I’ve never known fame

Probably  never be a star

But in your eyes…

Yeah, I hope I reach that far

Bridge

[Am] Sometimes I act a bit [G] crazy

[Am] SometimesI can be a little bit [G] hazy,

[A]I still sing its outta tune

And [A7] most folks run in fright

[D] Still you’re here with me[D7] tonight.

Verse 3

Music keeps me sane

At times brings me pain

When its all too much

I reach for your touch

Improvise solo on Verse and bridge chords

Repeat Bridge

Repeat Verse 1

End on repeating last line:

Yet I still have your hand

My son and I were out for a ride on my Triumph and stopped at the local bike shop,, Steve (aka Smitty) has about 5 Electric guitars and some amps in the corner.  I said howdy and Smitty says " John meet Scott, he plays also."    I could tell John was WAY over my head ability wise (hes frigging outstanding!)  so we chat and he hands over the ax, I show him some of the originals,,, AND ZURF YOU HAD TO FREAKING HEAR IT!  I played him a unpracticed version of GARAGE BEER DAYS,,, OMG he took it and it sounded like it had come from Memphis and Seattle!  I have his phone number and FB contact.

I sounded like a kid,, asking him if he would want to sit an jam with someone who was not as good as him but he just took my riff and it bloomed!  I hopw I can get to know him better and get some stuff on tape! (err well hard disk LOLOL)

All above is great info,,,It would help to know a bit more about you and your taste and styles of music.
I am a bit the opposite on what to use to learn to play on.  I am from the electric school of thought.
so my thoughts lay down like this:

A:  electric guitars can be had as a starter kit for around 200 US.  My problem with a a lot of these kits is they are very cheaply made and you will be disenchanted with them.  I suggest finding a good used electric for around 200 or so, and a decent amp. Costs of great 10 and 15 watt ones out there for around 100.

B:  electric guitars have thinner strings. you can go with ultra lights .009 to .042 and it will be easier on your fingers.

C: Electric guitars are easier to hold.  They can be clean  and sound pretty like Les Paul and Mary Ford or fat and nasty as you want to get.

D: You have many styles to choose from, and depending on your music taste, some guitars are suited better for country and jazz than rock or metal.

E: My favorite all around electric is a Stratocaster styled body that has a pick up configuration of Humbucker Single Single. You can play just about anything with this set up (especially if your Humbucker is coil tapped to be a single or a double-- but that is a bit advanced for you right now)

F: You can learn all your open chords on an electric and even better yet,, you learn all your Barr chords and get comfortable using them.  As you stay on here you will hear that the biggest challenge for some is making Barr chords. And the dreaded B chord.  Learn to play B as a Barr and your good to go.
G: And finally, if you do get an acoustic,, you can put the .009 electric strings on it to build up strength and switch later on. I used .009’s on a Yamaha acoustic for a couple years.
HAVE FUN, VISIT OFTEN, AND ENJOY!

I like what you have so far guys. Perhaps another verse or two before repeating the first would get more of the story and feelings to come out. It's very good and just has me wanting more. Waiting to hear the recorded version. Nice job!
