Peatle,  thought provoking and very much a subject many these days are pondering and questioning.  Well done and i like the way you have put it to music smile

That was inspiring, thanks for sharing Strummberboy smile

Nice Peatle, hadnt heard of him before, thanks for sharing.

This month we are looking to have TWO SONGS suggested for December, but this time we are doing something a little different.

Firstly: We are looking for YOUR VOTE, yes YOU THE MEMBERS, on ONE SONG from all the previous suggested songs over the previous months that have NOT as yet been chosen.  Take a look at the list of songs listed below and place your vote. For example, if you would like to vote on “I shot the Sheriff” then say “I vote on I shot the Sheriff” or “I pick” or “I want” or something that lets us know which song your voting on from the list. The song with the most votes from you the members will be one of the chosen songs for December.

LIST:

Piano Man
Yesterday – The Beatles
The Cup Song
Teach Your Children
Starry Starry Night – Don McLean – Vincent
Classical Gas
Moonlight Sonata
Malaguena
Money For Nothing – Dire Straits
Poncho and Lefty
Small Town – John Mellancamp
The Times They Are A -Changin
Things We Said Today
You Aint Going Nowhere
Mother, A Punks Ballard – Beamer`s Song
Thinking Out Loud – Ed Sheeran
Woodstock – Joni Mitchell & CSNY
Amarillo by Morning – George Straight
I Shall Be Released – Dylan
Bown Eyed Girl – Van Morrison
The Band – The Weight
Midnight Special
Winter Wonderland
Heard It in A Love Song – Marshall Tucker Band
Be It Resolved – Tenement Funster`s Poem
Sister Golden Hair
Rip It Out – Ace Frehley
Cherry Bomb – John Cougar Mellancamp
I shall Be Released
Forever Young – Dylan
Born on a Bayou – Credence Clearwater
I Shot the Sheriff
Country Road
Blowing in the Wind
Ticket to Ride – Beatles

Secondly: Suggest a song of your choice, one that you would like to enter for December`s FSOTM.  It can be a Personal Favorite, it can be an Original Song you have Written, it could be a Christmas Song, it could be a Song you have never attempted before and would like to try or hear others try to cover.  These songs will be DRAWN OUT OF THE HAT.

Look forward to seeing which song everyone VOTES on from the list and what SUGGESTIONS you come up with.

You nailed it once again Mojo ............. liked everything about this song ............. very catchy!

I agree with the above comments ........ this is the sort of song that should be heard .......... lyrics are great in this.  Nothing wrong with your voice, it is very easy to listen too and possibly your sounding a bit louder or clearer in this version because of audacity.  Hard to pick between the two versions, but  I do like the raw sound of the guitar on the other version better I think.

Congratulations Dino on winning November`s FSOTM.    I have just listened to the youtube link of this song as I didn`t know the song and I like it, good choice smile

BGD ......... awesome, really enjoyed your version of Ripple smile

Hi Peatle,

I have already left comments on this song on Sound Cloud and as I  am not a member of You Tube yet, I can`t leave comments on there.   So regarding the YT version,  I enjoyed the song, and like the lyrics and the art work is very good smile  .......... the only other comment I will add is the filming was it was a bit shaky and made viewing a bit difficult.   But otherwise, great to see you doing different stuff with your songs smile

Oops here is the link ...............

HI everyone ............. i have put up my very quick and to be honest, horrible version of TAKE IT EASY on Sound Cloud.  Literally tonight was the only chance i have had to try one of these two songs and as i don`t know Ripple that well, i thought i would try this one before heading away tomorrow for a week.  I truly struggled with this one as i have a very sore throat which has decided to come before i head away tomorrow (very annoying).  Anyway, at least I attempted one of them b4 i go ............see you when i get back.

Zurf .......woohoo looking forward to hearing it smile and i know what you mean ......... its  been really  busy here as well, just trying to find time to get these done myself ...... PLUS i have developed a sore tickly niggly throat, so hoping i am not come down the something.

rickyjack ............. i hear ya *nodding* ............. look forward to it when you do get time smile

dino48 .............. thought i would post this here rather than in the other thread, probably more suitable here in the chat section of Chordie smile

Anyway, in continuing our conversation about the ALL BLACKS ........... they played the Aussies last night and won 37 -10.   They dominated the first half, slackened of the beginning of the second half only to come back in full force the latter half.  Some great tackling, a fantastic charge down by Perenara and some excellent tries by Savea.

lol  vetoed easybeat that is so funny hehe wink
