thanks Kap, yeap a cold schonner beer, maritime tradition. As for playing on the lap I figured while I'm learning the traditional way, why not try the lap. Long way to go to be even close to good as Jeff Healy was, fun tho. My buddy Jon plays a wicked slide acoustic on his lap.we have a blast when we jam.

When I started a with pick I had the same problem, I fashoined a huge pick, {around a two inch triangle}out of an ice cream container top, then kept downsizing it as I progressed till it was as big as a regular pick. It worked for me.
