How great is this! Lovely heirloom to leave to your family.
I hope this one is written on parchment James, tied with some nice ribbon.
in your box of memories. It deserves to be!

I agree Daddy cool.

If words were food, id have had the best feast here in the music section.

Beautiful songs so descriptive.  A moment ago i was feeling sad
because of a Broken Doll. Now im being serenaded by crickets in starlight.

Where would you get it for free i ask ?

Lovely stuff James!

What a beautiful song Phil.

I love the piano, somehow suits this piece.

When my sister and i were small we got 2 black delph dolls. when visiting an old Aunt of me Da's, she gave us 2  silk mantle cloths with fringeing for our dolls to  wrap them. Pink and Gold. On the way home me sister took a strop, and wanted my
gold cloth. She tugged the end of mine and my doll fell to the ground. A big chunk broke from the dolls head.
Shock and horror to see those glass eyes on elastics inside the head. She { the doll} never was repaired, laid in a press for many years.

I went on to collect dolls for years after from around the world. Only recently gave the bulk of them to auction for charity. Gave a few to young nieces. and 3 beautiful german dancing dolls ive kept for  my blessing { I hope } of a grand daughter!
. God only knows when that will be?.

Thank you once again for the lovely song and memories.

Exercise for People Over 50

(really, try this)

Begin by standing on a comfortable surface, where you have plenty of
room at each side. With a 5-lb potato sack in each hand, extend your arms
straight out from your sides and hold them there as long as you can.

Try to reach a full minute, and then relax. Each day you'll find that
you can hold this position for just a bit longer.

After a couple of weeks, move up to 10-lb potato sacks. Then try 50-lb
potato sacks and then eventually try to get to where you can lift a 100-lb
potato sack in each hand and hold your arms out straight for more than a full
minute. (I'm at this level.)

After you feel confident at that level, put a potato in each of the sacks.

lol dont ya just love when at this stage of life, you don't give a hoot! lol

Well!! except for the weather that is!

Hi Phil,

One of my sister in laws, walked away many years ago. If she felt no love for my brother anymore thats fine by me. This happens with Adults. But without her 2 children i could never understand.  She left 2 kids, ended up with her new guys
3 plus one lad they had together. The Guy  then left her for another woman.

My nephews are  men now, and still have nothing to do with her, Very sad. If only she kept in touch with them.

One is now successful in Australia, The other a famour footballer.

It takes unselfish love and strength to keep the bond strong.

Sad but lovely song Phil.

I did have bother with my ears after a sinus infection.

The noise was frightening. Some meds did help.
Kapa if you have this noise at night time, try this! A small walk or discman with relaxation tapes or discs. you will be in noddy land in no time. i go to sleep this way every night.

It may never go but, a doctor told me  to do this!   Pinch your nostrils closed,
while closed puff out your cheeks as if blowing up a balloon. It pops the ears.
If this is real painful to do, you may have infection. go have it checked again.

It sure aint affecting you writing Sir!

Ps. Its been said if your ears are bothering you! You dont like what your hearing ?

PPS, Dr Zurf! are ya looking for a nurse? go on gis a job lol

Good song Kap54,

Very deep and emotional feelings there.

When your the eldest girl of 11 children in a family, you learn real fast how to manage. Especially when your Dad dies young like mine did. Bills always paid first. Then live with the growth of the seasons. If it grew in the ground/or on a vine we picked it.
If we could grow it we did. We shared and swopped
what we could with neighbours..
Spuds, veg/ eggs/ rice/ cheese/ milk/  flour/oats. Then add some condiments. These are not the most expensive items to buy, but The list of recipes is endless for these products. If you have the basics you can have a feast. Most people are just to lazy to cook or make the effort.
Yes! Ive had hard times, but worked through them and always held on to my dreams. I still do.
I was never ashamed of being poor, it gave me and my siblings a great appreciation for life and the comforts we all have  now.
I remember standing on the top of the Prudential Tower with some of my family a few  years ago. We were laughing saying " did we ever imagine when we hadn't an ass in our pants that we would be on that spot some day with more dollars then we had ever known to spend.

" Sure ye have to hold on to your Dreams.

Jets your song evoked many many memories for me and times long ago.
Thank You!

Blueberries! Yum.

A world without bees ? a world without all these lovely fruits we take for granted.

Kapa, feel free to put chords to this if you like!  This is typical of me, writing about stuff that agitates me when i feel inadequate in a situation. Plus having to pay the equivalent of 7 dollars 50 for a wee pack of blueberries.
Moan over for today lol Must be all the rain getting to me!
