I got it.I don`t know how to put pictures on(or else you would have seen my ugly mug by now).Ive been trying to find chords in standard tuning for it.So far it is fun and I am looking forward to trying it on my Peavey vyper.Right now the holidays are keeping me busy.My idea is to try my daughters death metal pedal on it.Ive been playing for 30 years and it`s like learning all over again. One thing I noticed is I can play it left handed.I`m a lefty but I play righty.(didn`t know there was such thing as a left handed guitar when I started). So far it looks like fun.

I was looking way back and this caught my eye. Here are some .      Nickleback  -A station in Worcester(wxlo) plays them all the time.    Hootie and the blowfish-  Tune your radio dial and try not to hear them playing when you do.Another wxlo regular.    Richie Havens-   He did here comes the sun at woodstock.I just dont like his singing and playing.   Bon Jovi- another sound I don`t like.    Please take note.I said I just don`t like their music.  I didn`t say they played or sang awful. If they did they wouldn`t be getting overplayed. I just don`t like them.

Hey Zurf. You can have all of them. All 0 of them.Don`t have any.Now getting ready to go to Rhode Island to pick it up. 60.00 with legs, case and slide. For that much I can`t go wrong. It`s a rogue.

I am buying a lap steel this weekend hoping a different guitar will get me out of this rut.Havent played for over a month.Pretty much disbanded what was left of the band.So wish me luck.Hopefully this will inject some vigor into my playing. Also:any advice on playing one will help.Thanx in advance

You may want to check out a Peavey vyper sampling amp.It makes more different sounds and has more different settings than the cockpit of the space shuttle. They are fairly inexpensive for the 15 watt model.I have one and it is great. It`s like trying out the pedals before buying them. The only drawback(for me,anyways)is that I can get every sound except an amp with no pedals. You can buy other brands also.(vox, line 6 etc).I just happen to have the peavey.I think the 15 watt retails for 100.00.Don`t quote me if I am wrong.I paid 50.00 used. It`s a lot cheaper than seperate pedals too.I find that most of the pedals I buy just collect dust except for my overdrive I bought in 1984.Still use it.   One thing I bought my daughter is a Line 6 pocket pod.It isnt expensive and it has a few different effects. But I still stick by my idea of the sampling amp.It also comes in higher wattages which means higher prices. Also you can also try all the different effects on it too.

What is the X factor?

This is going to sound awful on my part.I would have paid the fee to begin with.Think of it as a service contract.I have one on my heating system with NSTAR.It cost 269 anually.I buy it with the hope of never having to use it.I also have the comfort of knowing that when I have used it,the gas company comes right down and fixes my furnace free of charge.I have AAA on my cars and trucks with the intention of not using it.I would pay the 75 dollar fee for fire protection and hope it wont happen to me.I also have my house insured and hope to never make a claim. Here is where I come off sounding heartless. How much would a case of beer,A carton or two of cigarettes and a few scratch tickets cost each week.I am willing it is a lot more than 75 dollars per year. They knew full well they wouldn`t be protected when their trailer caught on fire. They had the chance to buy protection and they chose not to.

Yes I have.I used to have a Telestar from the 60s.I had a lawrence split coil pickup put in.Also had the tone control removed and put a mini toggle switch in its place. It sounded great but it took away any originality it had.The finished product sounded great. It was my guitar and I didnt care about it being original. Also bloozetubes,I had it done at what used to be McDuffs in Shrewsbury,ma.(the store near spag`s).Being from boston you may remember it.

This is more common than you think.Usually in small towns. There was a news article years ago about the same thing. The fire dept. prevented the fire from spreading, but they let the house burn. When the owner offered to pay the fee,he was told he should have paid it when he was supposed to.

I have no problem putting stickers on my explorer or my f-150.The stickers probably hold them together. If you ever saw my cars you would know what I mean.PLUS SIDE:I always have the right of way.ALWAYS

If it sounds good and plays good to you, then you made out.If not, think of it as a learning experience. That`s how I learned to figure out what not to buy.Keep mental notes of what was wrong with this one when you look at another one.Better yet write it down and make a checklist.

I have actually never had a problem with GC Dino. But I also went in knowing what to buy and not to buy.I  stay away from box sets.I don`t know if they are good or bad. They come with extra pieces I already have or don`t need.My reasoning is,the price for all the extras in the box set can buy a better guitar in the first place. Also,I compare guitars to flea market tools. The set of  wrenches for 5 dollars says 100.00 on the bag.It is still a 5 dollar set.A yamaha fg-335bl.99.00 at guitar center. The ad said 400.00 value.Common sense tells me that any store is not going to sell a 400.00 guitar for 99.00.This is where craigslist comes in.I always see yamaha 335s for sale.Always more than 100.00.They always say they paid a fortune for the same guitar new.Unfortunately, this is where someone with experience comes in.Just to let someone know if they are getting taken.Look at craigslist any where and you will see what I mean.ALSO:the reason I know about the 335bl is because my daughter bought me one for fathers day 2 years ago.I will have it set up one day because it is a 99 dollar guitar. It said 400.00 value

I once used a B string to unclog a tiny little hole on a gas stove. One of the burners didnt work and it had a clogged jet. That was when I gave the repairman a string.I told him he could keep it.

Christmas is coming. It never ceases to amaze me how much overpriced junk is for sale on craigslist.People trying to cash in on someone`s elses good intentions. I have posted on craigslist(and was flagged every time) for peop[le to be careful if they don`t know what they are buying. How many times do you see an epi. being sold as a gibson or a squier being sold as a fender and overpriced on top of that.My favorite was an epiphone Les Paul in upton, mass. for 1200.00.The ad said 2500.00 new.I always stress to do research or bring someone with experience.

He also got booed off stage opening for THE MONKEES.Can anyone figure that one out. Also, the Jimi Hendrix Experience is the only rock group that is completely(all its members) dead. There is no way it can be resurrected. I can also remember singing FOXY LETTUCE while playing foxy lady just to bug my wife. Not the whole song, just the major part
