My friends, y'all are so talented and exceptional at what you create, I've often wondered if someone who's maybe what we consider a "Star", might stick his head in here from time to time, find a song he likes, change a chord or word and then claim it as his/her own.

Do you ever worry about this and do you suspect it might ever have happened?

Being your Number One Fan, I'd hate to see it happen to any of you.

Just concerned and thanks for all you do.

I enjoyed every minute and I thank those of you whose music I featured for allowing me to do so. New Year's Eve would have been a real downer had I not been able to do that and be "with" my best friends from all over the world for a little while.

Y'all are "Number One With A Bullet"  (old dj terminology) in my book for now and for ever.

Love you guys and ladies

Arkady is a great composer and musician for sure, and I am fortunate to be able to listen to his work.

This week I'm a little late, so please excuse me.

I wanted to feature this guy who seems a lot like the rest of us with a song I just happened to bump into. I call it a novelty song and he sings it to the tune of "The Happy Wanderer". I hope you enjoy this one......

Just an update, -and thanks mazzy for your kind note, we both appreciate it - We have to go Friday morning for another cardioversion due to the fact her heart beat has gotten out of rhythm again and the pacemaker can't make it work.

We both ask for all of your prayers, because it has now come to the point where she cannot  arrange her own meds. I saw her a few nights ago and she was not herself, so I took over that part of it and I hope I can do the job, because I sometimes have my own problems with my meds. So please pray for me that I can take care of my wife and please pray for us Friday morning.

She thinks I am mad at God (and she's a really religious lady), but although I am somewhat, I do pray to him every night to let her live and take me instead. I would gladly go in her place.

Thanks and please excuse me if you don't see me for a while. I will see your responses on my e-mail, but don't know if I can respond in a timely manner.

Thank you all again

Bill

Some of the deepest lyrics come from these great writers and musicians. None of them apologize for what they have to say, and here is one example: It's an anti-war song done by Phill. It says it all. https://soundcloud.com/iphillfine/to-be-a-hero

Peter Benson has a knack for choosing songs that make you go, "Oh, Man!", and then he makes you want to listen. This is one of those tunes.....

Something is wrong here Bill

Both links take you to the same song; Roger's "One of These Days"

Just thought I'd let you know

I know. I played the "One Of These Days" by what I thought was Roger first, then I heard it by Jerome and now I don't know who is actually singing. smile

Sorry! "Don't Shoot Me, I'm Only The Piano Player!" smile smile

Maybe they can give us the scoop.

Mojo01 has a way with a song. Whether it's a story song like "Johnny" or this one which is a one sided dialogue  between a man and a woman in a troubled relationship.....

https://soundcloud.com/mojo01/love-hate

This is yours truly in one of the few  times I ever went into the studio to record. If it sounds familiar it's sung to the tune "T For Texas". It was about a relationship I had while I was divorced from Dondra and I really let "Maggie" have it with both barrels in this song: "M for Maggie"

Don't forget folks, if you have a song that I don't know about, feel free to insert it here between my choices.

As I mentioned before, I enjoy listening and watching Peter Benson on his YouTube channel and we've been playing his music ever since we came home from the hospital this evening. Peter has a very nice vocal range and he lets it show in this tune especially....

Another one from TIG: A great song called "Country Music Can Fix A Broken Heart"i Nice job, Jim!

https://soundcloud.com/tigljk/country-m … oken-heart

Okay, I gotta put this one in. I wrote the song and Phill polished and recorded it for me. If you don't know the story, Grah1 did a cover of a tune of mazzy's called "Broken" (you heard it upthread).  He titled it "Broken Cover", meaning he was covering the song mazzy had already written and recorded.

I read it differently and titled it "Broken Cover" about a 15 year old kid who is in love with a 17 year old girl, and to let her know, he has to "break his cover" - come out of hiding, in other words. Here once again is Phill

So here its is: written in about an hour: https://soundcloud.com/bill-craig-7/broke-my-cover
