Welcome from Massachusetts. You just made friends all over the world. You can chat about anything here.

As soon as I get done working today,I`m buying it. Except for live albums or best ofs,I have the whole library. This will bug a lot of people, but I go more for good lyrics than a great solo.

I like seperate pedals myself. My daughter has a Line 6 pod. It has a few different effects on it and it is inexpensive. I have a peavey vyper with more bells and whistles than the space shuttle. That way I can try it before I decide to buy. For 50 dollars (used) I can go for a test drive every time I get the urge for a different sound. In the 80s, I wasted a lot of money on effects I didnt need.

Krylon cherry red was the same color I used on my truck and refrigerator. Buy twice as much. When the can starts to get low, switch to another can. If it starts spitting it will leave spotty marks. With krylon, Is there a need to sand and compound?. I thought it was enamel. I could be wrong since I never used clearcoat.

The jacks are to hook up effects,(distortion, compressor, delay, etc, etc). I have them on some amps but don`t use them. I prefer to go straight from the guitar to the effects to the amp.  Once again, good luck with your playing. Just out of curiosity, what kind of music interests you?

Does it say fx or effects loop there anywhere? A little more info. It may be for effects. Also, 75 years old and just learning to play. That is absolutely fantastic. I hope the best for you.

One piece of advice DON`T  let anybody talk to you while you are spraying. Happened to me and I stopped for a second while still spraying and ended up with a run.

60 cans 2.00 to 2.50 per can back in 1995. I thought 10 would be more than enough. I went out to 2 other stores later that day buying krylon. The body work took 2 months. It started off as sanding a scratch, then I decided I wanted a red truck

Back then they were called cars.Remember in 77 when  GM downsized the big cars(bonneville, 98s ,cadillacs etc), how tiny they looked. Now they are considered tanks

One whole day. Then another to fix stripes and make the color even all over. I amazed everyone that I actually did it

You are going too be a pro by the time you are done, the last car I painted took me 10 months to prep for painting, came out fantastic.Made me feel real good when people came over and asked who painted it and could they get thiers done.

Dino, I once painted a 1979 f-150 with 60 cans of krylon. Before that I painted a Kelvinator refrigerator red. (the exact model rick`s restorations did on tv). After that I would paint vending machines at a vending company I worked for. All the autobody principles work for vending machines and large appliances.  I learned the art of spray painting on the f-150. I may try a guitar myself when I see the finished product Russell has

It`s funny. How many unknown bands that have cds with a label would love to get their music downloaded.(free or otherwise). They will never get a gold record but nobody will pay to hear them if they never heard of them. Why don`t they work out a system so greedy bands like Mettalica can charge and the unknowns can at least get some exposure for free. Then maybe someone will like their music and buy the whole disc.
The reason I chose Mettalica is because they were the first ones to complain about free downloads. Remember Napster, when it first came out. They pretty much ruined it for the unknowns

I learned to drive in a 1975 Oldsmobile 98. A HUGE car with a 455 V8 and a 4 barrel Rochester Quadrajet carburetor. A veritable land yacht it DRANK gasoline. The 1970s oil embargo caused it to be sold for a smaller albeit still inefficient car. We also bought a 1974 ORANGE VW Super Beetle - a blast to drive!

Youre down in georgia where it doesnt get that cold. I had a 1966 vw bus. It wasn`t fun to drive. It could barely get out of its own way. Always in the right lane and freezing your you know what off because  Vws have no heat. Try a VW up here and see. I never bought another Vw again But I learned to drive on a 1970 Caddilac with a 472 and rochester 4bbl. I also had a 1970 Bonneville with a 455 and rochester 4bbl. They are huge like the Olds 98. I remember getting 7 mpg also. They moved like lightning but sucked gas like water. The VW came after the Bonneville

Go the practice area cleaned and reorganized. All set to go and made a lot more room to work with. A plus, it is the warmest place in the house. Shirtsleeves in zero degree weather warm. It happens tomorrow at 2 pm. Once again, wish me luck.  Finally starting to break out of this burnout.

I`ve had a lot of cars and trucks since 1978. My favorite was a 1991 mercury capri. I bought that to replace my 1965 mercury park lane convertible. I junked the capri in 2008. After my wife recovered from cancer,It just wasn`t important to me. Now I have a 98 explorer and a 92 f-150. The pickup is in awful shape, I always have the right of way at an intersection.

Does anyone remember an effect called the "BOSTON STRANGLER" . It was sold by E.U. Wurlitzer. It was a box that I think was a volume control with a big black knob on the front. The Idea was that you could turn up the volume all the way and then "strangle" the amp by turning the volume down on the effect. It was for amps with no master volume control. They also were known for killing amps by overloading them too much. I havent seen one since the 80s. It was about half the size of a 6 pack box of instant oatmeal. Has anyone seen one? Especially if you are from massachusetts.

Just on a whim. I answered an ad in the craigslist musicians section. Long story short. An email, a text and a phone call got me a whole band in one day. Whether or not it works is a whole different story. Can`t tell if I don`t try. So wish me luck. Looking forward to getting in the swing of things again

Michaels craft supplies may have the paint you are looking for. Or whatever craft shops are in your area.

On the back of the February Car and Driver there is an ad for Newport red cigarettes. There is a partial shot of a strat painted a color similar to what you want.Plua an amp painted a red krinkle color. You may want to check it out.I`m sure it is on other magazines as well

I tried to teach my daughter. Then I decided to send her for lessons. I didn`t have the patience to try myself. After 2 lessons she fell off a swingset and broke her left arm. (at her 9th birthday party). Lessons were put on hold for 2 months. She has been taking lessons since.
