@ our uke get togeather recently,we wrote a song(kind of)
We each added a line, put a few chords to it & it worked out!(after taking some interesting directions)
i wonder if one of you Chordians, much more clever than i.
Would like to try something like this on chordie?

Put up a starting line & choose the best next line that has been submitted.add that line to the song& carry on ect

thanks, Brian

I see John has a new cd out.
Got me to thinking  Is this guy under rated?
I love his music, i think he is one of the greats.is he rated with Springsteen for example?

Gidday,

Interesting subject musicians & drugs.
Recently i`ve read  Ronnie Wood & Paul Mccartney  Biography.
Both mention a lot about drug use,as with many other musicians.
any theories about this???

Gidday rak

Good to see someone from just up the road on Chordie

Gidday.

Always on the look out for another guitar.
i`ve just tried a Larrivee,it ticked a lot of my boxes.
but something not quite right, the guys in the shop
fitted martin strings for me,that made a big difference.
i would love a Martin but in NZ they are very over priced.
With the usa printing money the $ exchange rate with NZ
is favourable for a change. All USA made guitars have come down in price.
EG  Fender Amercian  Standard Strat  3yrs ago  $2600   now $1800.
Martin price unchanged.
So i`m looking for a quality guitar, but don`t want to be ripped off.
Any other quality brands come to mind???
Where would you rate the larrivees?

Thanks for advice guys but only having a dabble
I  looked up CCR ` down on the corner`as i seem to remember quite a strong bass riff in it.
Thats the kind of thing i wanted to know.
Knowing zero about bass, thought i might dip my toe in the water see if was for me.

My main point was the huge difference in sound from my new Vox lead.
Disappointed by the quality of the lead that came with the Fender.

I`ve always been a huge fan of Fender, I own An American Standard Strat & a Tele.
Have always played them with the lead that comes in the fender case.
Recently i saw an old fashioned curly lead in the music shop ,had to have it.
It`s a VOX brand, WOW  this has given my sound a real zap!
I guess all leads are different, never really thought about it.

gidday,

A lot of chordians complain about Beatle songs not being available.
often say` Mccartney is greedy`
I don`t think the beatles own many of their songs.
I think Mccartney owns the Buddy Holly songs though.

Listening to the radio today they played` Four Strong Winds`
they said it was judged the best song in Canada.

In New Zealand the song voted best song is called `Nature`

Gidday,

Just got home from seeing The Bootleg beatles in concert.
I don`t really rate tribute bands, but went along because i
heard so many good comments.
They where fan bloody tastic,a great night.
They are an international touring band, really good light show/backdrops ect.
Playing with a 9 piece orchestra,producing a brilliant sound.
They took us through from 1962-70 with costume changes & music.

If they play your town,Not To Be Missed!
