If you can handle a song from 1970 consider Moondance. smile

I have maple, rosewood, and an ebony. Don't really notice too much of a difference, to be honest. I find fret width and neck cut, and string relief are a lot more important to feel than the type of wood. I don't like the width of my SG but I prefer the neck gauge of a Gibson for string bending and whatnot so I deal with it. smile

Here are some 60s tunes that are good for jamming:

Crosstown Traffic
Heard it through the grapevine
Like a Rolling Stone
Cissy Strut
While My Guitar Gently Weeps (look up Jeff Healy's version live at Montreaux. Awesome.)
On Broadway (Check out George Benson's version)
The Weight
All Along the Watchtower
Born Under a Bad Sign

If you're looking to jam why not take a couple of songs with similar feels or in the same key and write some jams in to them?

That's because most of them have crap vocal technique and blow their vocal folds out.  equivalent to carpal tunnel.

Proper technique is really important.

Ps geddy still rockin.

I just picked up my SG for the first time in a couple years after listening to this. Great sounding guitar. Maybe I'll buy a les paul soon. smile

Welcome! I don't but would love to. It's on my list of things to purchase right after a banjo.

Just had a bit of a situation in Baker CA yesterday. Stopped mid road trip to let the GF's little one go to the bathroom and my dog destroyed my truck from "both ends," if you catch my meaning. I spent 40 minutes in 122 degree heat cleaning and deodorizing. That really stunk. And it smelled bad, too.

Burn a pound of nag champa in there.  Will smell like Woodstock but that's better than the alternative.

I know but he's not bending the b7s. I can hear him bending the 3s though.

I'm not a harmonica player but I hear lots of b7s so I would guess he's not playing straight harp.

I'm sorry you're going through this Amy. I burn out every few years and put the guitar down. Getting back to it is really really painful and it takes some time to knock the dust off, but eventually you get it all back and then some. Chin up!

Those are really weird voicings.  Just play

Aww I'm sorry.   That has to be hard.

Are you trying to play a major 7?
