What an amazing rescue. In 1959 my dad led a team of five dreagermen some 10,000 feet down and rescued 11 trapped miners. 78 miners
perished in the Springhill disaster. The Chilean rescue has me thinking about dad and his team and have great respect for all miners for it's
a chilling feeling going underground. I worked in the mine for about 5 months and quit because it was a nerve racking job. The thought of working under the atlantic ocean was chilling for sure. Been watching the rescue since 5 oclock this morning and hope all get to the surface.

An old Tavern chair I rescued in a renovation we worked on, the owner wanted to throw it in a dumpster. It's well made and built in 1959,
year I was born. thats what I"m a sittin on.

Our local rock station seems to play the same songs over and over. I tune into A M radio good time oldies hits from the 50's, 60's, and 70's and have been for 30 + years. So the good music is on AM radio.

I lost my job, I worked in the oil,
Electric`s cut off, my meats gonne spoil,
The man from the bank, he took my car,
Off to the pawn shop, sell my guitar.
Times are so hard, future`s so grim,
I had a smile, now it`s a grin
Woman dun left me, for better shores
Been walkin all day, my feet are so sore.
I had a plan, and a good dream,
The plan is gone now, a dream busted seam
I tried my best, payed all my dues
Now I got nothing, here comes the blues.
Fun thread, just made that up. what fun.
