Yes there are 12  of his songs listed .  Here is a quick link:  http://www.chordie.com/song.php/songart … index.html

Looking for Eric Clapton's "Mustang Sally" TIA

On the "Home" page put the title in the search box and you should get a few from several artists and I'm sure one of them will be Clapton's version but likely in a different key.
I seem to remember E7 & B7 being the main chords used for most of the tune..... I may be wrong though, old age and all that. smile

Look for Wilson Pickett - I think he did the original ...

Thanks for the link Richard,  I'm not sure if we have tried this earlier, or if it was a problem performing properly with our kind of "customized" Chordie Version.  Will check it out though.
Doug

Probably depends on the version your running ... one trick I used in the past was to have a hidden field on the page, named something like "description", robots will automatically fill in a form with "known" details - so if this field has a value, it's a robot, as people viewing the page can't see it ...

If you're going to file it, be sure to get one of these (or make something equivilent:

http://www.stewmac.com/Luthier_Tools/To … uards.html

I've filed a few fret without this, but if you nick the wood, it's not a nice outcome ... a couple of slivers of aluminum or thin steel will also do the trick, with a thick lacky band to hold it in place (because I can't afford StewMac prices!!) ...

Whilst we have casually drifted into capo territory ... what are peoples thoughts on the Thalia capo:

Are they as good as they look ... ??

Neophytte here is one of your music composition's put to a video, Let me know if you don't like it and I will take it down.

I give it the thumbs up!! smile

Funny thing about that song is that we used it on one of our 'home videos' I make for the kids, specifically this one was traveling down south, where I'd sped up the video, so I always associate the visual imagery of going past cars with that tune now - hahaha smile

BTW: what video editing program are you using? I use iMovie on the Mac, and it's quite good, but I'm finding none of the special effects like you've applied ...

neophytte, nice spot to sing such a great song in the park smile  Well done.

I would love to have heard more with your wife playing along side and singing with you .... hopefully you will get a chance to do it again with her smile

Thanks smile

As you can see from the video, we rarely get the time together to sing, and it's a bit hard to find songs to do together as she likes Jazz and I like rock, but sometimes we find a happy medium ... smile

Here is my last song for this month of Christmas songs .... it was a challenge and i found it hard to find chords that suited my vocals as it is quite low in places and high in other places.  Anyway, here is my attempt at it.

That was great - I wouldn't have thought you had struggled with this - it sounds really good ... the low opening vocal notes reminded me of some (famous?) singer, but I can't put my finger on who it was ...

My time is running out, Mother-in-law arrives tonight, so went before work to Kings Park (which is about 200 metres from work) and recorded "Hallelujah":

P.S. Also tried to do one with the wife the day before, but interrupted by kids: https://youtu.be/geiYRtSa5Qg

This is my band playing live on the local Fremantle radio station - it was an interesting experience, normally when you jam you all face each other and have a mic each to do backup vocals, etc, or on a stage situation you'll be facing the crowd with that band interaction, however we were a bit out of practice, and tried to set up in an office at the back of the radio station to get a rehearsal in, but that went pear-shaped when they could hear us in the studio and asked us to stop.

When we got into the studio, which was pretty small, our drummer was sat in the hall with his back to us, there was one microphone to pick us all up, and we had to keep changing positions to have the main vocalist in the right spot (three of us sung in the band), and the only set of headphones so we could hear where we were in the song. I managed to stuff up the intro to the first song, but after that we kept fairly on track.

Here it is, warts and all, I think this was in 1995 or 1996:

But I'm missing being able to add FX to guitar and vocals ....

Hey Neo, thanks for the support!

As far as my set up its pretty much as simple as it gets.  There were some rough spots to figure out. so here it is.

Cheers for that - at the moment I'm just using a Rode microphone into my iPhone: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/ … c_for.html - the iPhone sits on a tripod and I have my iPad on a stand in front of me ... but I'm thinking of making use of the audio interface I have and plugging that into my Mac via Logic, then doing video via the iPhone and putting it altogether in iMovie ... I'd get (arguably) better sound quality, be able to mix it properly, but going froma setup that takes 10 minutes and is *so* portable, to something that would require mic placement, power, etc - I'm not so keen these days to over complicate things ...

But thanks for your set up info - it sounds similar to what I'm contemplating ...

Cheers

Richard
