That sounds like it takes a certain amount of sobriety.  The Chordiestock crowd may need a neutral coach like on "Whats my line" smile  LOLOL

I hope no one is offended (my wife loves her also) as Betty Page is an ICON and wall breaker, not to mention one of greatest pin ups ever. More to come once I can find the right additions.
I need to take a picture in day light as this is heavily shopped to get a good shot,, still kinda cool though. sorry about the size pulled them off FB cause photo bucket was taking forever

"Hello Im Chevy Chase and you're not" OH wait , wrong train! LOLOL

Ok so many of you are not of FB to see the few Pics I posted, after my report I shall once again try to do it.

First off, Jerome is a great host.
Arrived about 11 pm Friday night after work, next thing I knew it was 5 AM!
His studio room is pretty nice. I played him a few of my songs and the one he really liked was Paper Doll. We spent most of Saturday afternoon working on it.  His friend, AL, came over and he was creating some nice dark and smoky lead for it.  Then we started two new songs between the 3 of us.  very fun to write with new people.

Irish Stew for lunch and baked chicken for dinner Saturday.

Today (Sunday) was Football. Granted I slept till noon but got up in time to see the kick that gave it to the Seahawks.
I gave Al a ride home and got to see and hold his Gretsch. MAN IS THAT A GREAT GUITAR! Now I know why Jx3 loves that White Falcon!  I did not have time to plug it in,, but it was just screaming for some Link Wray! I wanted to bust into https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AQ_JvaTWego

I hope you and Jerome have a great time jamming together. It's always fun to meet other musicians and trade ideas. Which "Working Man" did you learn? Was it this one?

Or ... perhaps it was RUSH's song of the same name.

Just wondering ... lol

then there is the compromise of a hybrid amp.  my sons Johnson amp has a tube pre-stage and s/s power amp.  that sucker is LOUD.  and they are not very expensive.  you might also want to look into Bugera amps. I have the V5 and i barely even take the attenuator off .1 W.  this is it.
This is a perfect home amp as you can dial the thing from  .1 to .3 to 5.  its all tube and has the vintage sound.

It has gone up in price by 75 bucks since I got  mine. but still for  200 its a great deal!  they are made by Beringher.  which makes some great soloid states also.

as Phill says,, using some stomp boxes or a multi effects  box can really make a so so amp sound pretty good.  Ebay is your friend on that one.  I just got my RP500 for a heck of a deal!  min you will want a distortion box, compressor and a delay.  you can get pretty good units of these from Rouge, or Berhinger.  Berhinger even sells sets that are cool.  http://www.amazon.com/Behringer-Stomp-T … B004H1KB3Y  or just look at the prices, you can start a pretty nice pedal bd on a budget  http://www.musiciansfriend.com/effects-pedals/behringer

OH I have Acoustics, remember I have the 73 Ovation 12er and the Kaman 6er and I have the Dean Markley humbucker sound hole pick up for them.  I’m also the first guy to plug a A/E 12 into a     Marshall JCM 800 stack at guitar center! LOLOL
Amy- You are correct, I don’t think I’ll have any real vacation this year, have to build it up.  They had Taylors in the room also. Everything had the signs DO NOT PLAY WITH OUT EMPLOYEE PRESENT, except for the Martin.
And the name of the band being Acoustic Z Impedance is actually for a very heavy band as Impedance  =
“The greater the difference between the acoustic impedances of the two materials at a boundary in the body the greater the amount of reflection – two materials with the same acoustic impedance would give no reflection (or refraction) while two with widely separated values would give much larger reflections.”
So in my mind heavy distortion to acoustic thus gives a heavy reflection of sound
Or another good name would also be  ACOUSTIC  (Insert this  between them http://www.sengpielaudio.com/FormulaWheelElectronics.gif  )  RESTANCE
OR SIMPLY      R = p (V)
I know it’s a bit overboard LOLOL

Idd love to but i blew my guitar budget for a while with  the Strat and the RP500.  bought some very cool Betty page transfers to decorate the guitars. gotta pay homage.  Original plan was to get a white Explorer and customize it as "Betty" and then one will be "Marylin"

I am sitting at work studying / reviewing some basic Ultrasound theory.  One of the questions is: Acoustic impedance is identified by the letter?  Well the answer is  Z.  But then the Metalizer in me takes over, HEY that would be a great name for a band!  and have it look something like:

  ACOUSTIC
       Z
  IMPEDANCE

OH, and yes folks,, I finally let myself do it, I went into an acoustic room of a local store and looked at all the Martins.  only one was used and it was 400.  Wish I had the money.  I picked it up and played it (which I have really kept myself from doing)  and OK YES I FINALLY GET IT! LOLOLOLOL  just wish I had the money to get it.  it wont last long I am sure.

I call the SG “Rocker” , or RED, and sometimes ginger, or whatever redhead has my attention, Hot mean and nasty.   My new Strat, Is starting to become “BETTY” (Page) casue she is sexy as can be.  The Ovation 12 string, it’s a she, and no name but evokes warm memories of its heritage. The black Kamen, depending on the day, “Road Dog” or “Beater”.  Yea, I guess it’s a more masculine connotation having been to sea with me several times and world conflicts and showing the abuse of the travels.
