another kids poem
Robot
I am a robot I am a robot
granddad said
as he walked across the floor
with a cardboard box
on his head
he walked into a door
he took off the box
and rubbed at his bruise
a little cut and a bit of blood
wouldn`t slow him down
yesterday he got lots more injuries
when he was dressed up as a clown

lately ive been writing lots of kid type poems, having a blast doing it.
Engelbert The Cat
Engelbert was a cat
he was black as coal
and he was a wee bit naughty
because he always stole
in his night time wanderings
around our neighbourhood
things had disappeared
from places he has stood
now you may think its funny
but not to the lady from next door
for Engelbert stole all her left socks
shes now only got right ones in her drawer
rags slippers and scarves
and today he bought home a hat
this is the life of living with
a kleptomania cat

Re: Billy Playing Blues Guitar (7 replies, posted in Poems)
great poem Peatle, you gave me an idea.
i was standing at the bus stop
everyone had their heads down
and i wondered
is there something on the ground
then i realised they were all looking at their phones
i had to laugh,when i looked again
because im living in the past still using a pen
although i had to confess to this tech bunch
my phone was at home
id used it to post an exciting selfie
of me and my lunch

Neo
it would be good if you helped Jan
its great to have a challenge,a reason to write a song.
but with 2 mths gone by now,i haven`t had reason to write something.
and of course i love hearing what others have come up with.

Topic: Help ! (2 replies, posted in Songwriting)
ive got this song, but for the life of me i cant seem to put it together.
ive tried a few different progressions/feels/styles but with no good result.
usually when a song comes it comes with all this already there.
if anyone can sort this for me id be thankful.
Drink Driving
drink driving
and in a mess
ive done this
i must confess
when i was a young man
an unthinking fool
the sound of twisted metal
and screams of bloody pain
i can remember
so i wont drink drive again
so now i put
my drinks on a tab
when im drunk
i catch a cab
cause i can remember
so i wont drink drive again

Most of all it was fun and entertaining I enjoyed watching and listening to that vid thank you EB. I hope someone else might have a vid to share.
I dont fancy the chances of anyone posting one Pete,as we have spoken about
know one else joining in,maybe its time we took our banter back to personal e mails.

EB.
Dr Dr i need you help please
i cant say or write anything
without making it rhyme.
I`ve got a bad case of Peatle fever.
Dr.
take these pills twice a day
that should make the rhymes go away
if that doesnt work, take 100 pills a day
that way you will be so busy taking pills
that you wont have any time to rhyme.

Re: Horror Museum (11 replies, posted in Poems)
Speaking of Ringo
of which we weren`t
i wish that the drums
i had learn`t
i could bang on the skins all day
it would scare my neighbors away
Phill has trouble with neighbors of his
maybe he should take the idea
and bash his kit night and day
all of the night and all of the day
a song from the sixties
by the kinks i think
although Phills more your dedicated follower of fashion
cause he`s from wales
the biggest fish in the sea
a friend of tom jones probably
who`s a pretty big fish too

Re: Horror Museum (11 replies, posted in Poems)
Pete
im dizzy from all your rhyme
you seem to do it all the time
your brain must be on overdrive
but at least you know you`re still alive
theres people who never wrote a word
i guess they`re worried it would be a turd
emitting a foul smell
like dogs.... stuck on your shoe
but hey it makes a great glue
cause if you try to get it off
you know it dont come easy
you dont have to shout or leap about
you know it dont come easy (thanks ringo)
oh no i think ive caught Peatle fever !
