I keep coming up with some pretty good lyrics but can never fit them together or come up with a tune.
Anyone got any words of advice?

Would appreciate it if anyone knew any, preferably simple chords, thanks.

Hey,
It's true, people's personality aren't ALWAYS cultivated by what instrument they play. Seems that way though, huh?
Being a saxophonist in a band, I tend to notice these things:
Trumpets - Loud, whiney drama queens.
Drummers - Most of the time, ignorant.
Flutes/Clarinets - Quiet. Very quiet.
Saxophones - Try to be noticed, but are mostly ignored. Very cynical and some would do better as comedians.
Basses/Trombones - Again, quieter than they should be and ignored.
Violins - Loud, happy people, but still have that "strings player" feeling around them.
Cellos - Concentrate a lot.
Pianos - Perfectionists. Some (emphasis on "some") aren't very likeable.
Sorry if I offended anyone, I am a bit cynical and hard-headed.

When these threads come up I always have to wonder where I fit in, playing the guitar, the piano, drums, saxophone, bass, and blues harp. tongue

Yeah, as a guitarist I agree with JSGinCYQX
But as a drummer I am insulted tongue

Surely 'The Price Of Gasoline' is already a song by Bloc Party...
Who, might I add, are a pretty awesome band.

Don't even feel like playing?!?!
That has to be bad...
I always feel like playing, nomatter what.

I believe its more the type of music one plays that defines the person than the instrument he or she chooses

I completely agree

Magic Numbers was two sets of Brother-and-Sister, wasn't it?

But what about people who play more than one insturument, they must have pretty mixed up personalities...
I think the music they listen too also defines a person, or at least the mood they're in when they're listening to it.

Headlights On Dark Roads - Snow Patrol
And there's a line from a Straylight Run song that goes 'Like Deer And Headlights'
Not so much a Car theme as a Headlight theme, but hey...

We were originally called 'Psychedelic Roses' but it was a bit too cliched for my liking, (Stone Roses, Guns And Roses, you get the picture?)
I wanted to rename us 'The Infinite' but our lead guitarist is being seriously awkward about it.
Can anyone help?

How about just 'Nameless'
Or better, 'The Nameless'
